Aldi to buy £3.5bn more food from British farms and suppliers
Budget supermarket Aldi has announced plans to increase the amount of food and drink it buys from British suppliers by £3.5bn a year within the next five years.

SUPERMARKETS have toasted a record-breaking festive season, fuelled by tightened pandemic restrictions that shuttered “non-essential” shops, as well as pubs and restaurants.
Shoppers spent £12bn on food and drink in December, the biggest month of grocery sales ever, according to estimates from Kantar, which measures how supermarket chains perform every month.
Spreading closures of pubs and restaurants kept the tills ringing as celebrations were confined to homes.
This latest lockdown is brilliant news.....all those who were entertaining for Christmas have already bought double doses of paxo......now all those who have been told to stop at home will have to go and buy some paxo !!
