Kempen Oranje Participaties N.V. (KOP) offers the opportunity to invest in small-sized European companies. Anyone know anything about them ?

Paulson had around 42 million shares left after the last rns. So if today’s 20 million was them, coupled with some large sells a couple of days ago, they could be nearly out now.
If that is the case, we should see an rns early next week to show them going below 3%.

Or……the glass half empty scenario…… the good results are already priced in and the SP will fall back (as per the last results). The only difference this time are hints of a divi.

It was sold at the time of the acquisition of Angel Delight, Quorn and Cauldron to help with the funding of those brands.
Typhoo was not seen as having much potential for growth (I tend to share your view of marketing people).

I was there when premier sold it. They sold it for a good reason, I can’t see why they would want to but it back.

Of a very modest dividend being declared with the results in a couple of weeks ?

I think you are wrong Kallumama. Paulson have been shareholders about as long as I have and I am no longer losing money. I suspect Paulson are fare better investors than I am.

Let’s remember what the history is here. Paulson and Oasis came on board as “activist shareholders” they were both dissatisfied with the performance Gavin Darby as CEO. They were both given seats on the Board and they saw through a complete change in the BOD and a change in the company strategy.
Obviously I don’t know what they bought their shares at, but it must have been around 30/40p.
They have both more than doubled their money. Paulson have now stated their intention to pull out. They have left the BOD and are gradually selling their shares. Obviously someone is buying them, but we don’t yet know who. Oasis have decided to stay aboard and have retained their seat on the Board. Can’t see much happening this side of results day........but what do I know ? I am thinking steady as she goes.

Sell some more. I wonder who is buying them ?

Not sure if we get a q4 trading update....we don’t usually because it’s the year end results in may.
We got one last year because they announced the results of the strategic review on the 20th April.
Have to wait and see.

I am in exactly the same position....no plans to sell in the near future.

But still not quite over the ton.

I don’t think that Oasis will reduce much more. They signed a new deal and kept their seat on the Board, whereas Paulson resigned their seat.

The strategic review that you refer to, resulted not in a disposal of assets, but in the reform of the pension schemes. Reading between the lines it would seem that it was decided that more shareholder value would result from the pension scheme merger than the disposal of assets. I would suggest that has turned out to be true.

Paulson seem to be pulling out slowly, so as not to destabilise the SP too much - which is what they said that they would do when they left the board.
Oasis still retain their board position and shares.....as far as I know.
