RE: Tungsten Crunch for the West9 Nov 2025 19:04
Really good to get some contributions from those that know the area & Hemerdon well & positive vibes re trucking our ore to TUN. Obviously differing views whether we could/should but a key question for me, if the opportunity arises, is what spare capacity will exist at Hemerdon to cope with our material . Yr 3 onwards TUN is targeting 3.5Mtpa .... will there be sufficient capacity to deal with our ore, or if it doesn't at the mo can it be scaled up.? I've got no concept of mine engineering so hoping someone can assist ....
AI Overview
The Hemerdon mine's processing plant is designed for a steady-state throughput of 3.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of primary ore feed. This level is expected to be reached after an initial ramp-up period, with plans for a lower throughput of 2.1 Mtpa in year one and 2.6 Mtpa in year two before reaching full capacity.
Steady State: The plant's full capacity is 3.5 Mtpa.
Ramp-up: Throughput is planned to start lower and increase over time:
Year 1: 2.1 Mtpa
Year 2: 2.6 Mtpa
Year 3 onwards: 3.5 Mtpa
