Surely the solution would be to move to a simulated rear-view mirror mounted on the top of the dash feed by a rear camera. As a driver I think it would be the best solution for both the mirror & the DMS.

IMO DMS is here to stay for a very long time. Even if motor manufacturers perfect the autonomous vehicles. I feel millions will still want too be able to takeover control and drive manually, this will DMS to oversee the driver as per legislation. How many of you upon easing of lockdown realised upon commencing driving again how much you enjoyed and missed it. Who wants too sit in a metal box being forever driven and controlled by computers, I certainly don’t. GLA
