Gold is down more than 5 percent from it's high on March 9th- even though the ftse has lost almost 10 percent in that time from this puzzles alot of people. If gold is such a safe haven investment why has it fallen along with the beating markets. History shows this as normal. In the late 2008 gold fell 20 percent even as the markets began there 42 percent crash .after that initial dip gold asserted itself and went from 727 oz to more than 1700 dollars a oz in less than 3 years.
