RE: Glint - in administration! Great for Tally.25 Sep 2019 08:26
"Yes it would be but would those people go back into a gold based card app after their Glint experience ? A double-edged sword I think, this news"
In short, yes. People throw themselves at anything new, shiny and cool. The problem with Glint seems to have been a corporate issue, not a product-based issue, despite many poor reviews and their developers seemingly working around the clock to fix very little judging by the endless complaints.
I've seen people get fleeced for hundreds or thousands on Ebay for obvious fake Chinese vases for example, believing them to be 'from the Emperor's palace' and with no provenance. People will literally spend on anything they think will make them a hot buck or give them status. Something fails, they move onto the next shiny.
The difference with Tally is that despite the (to date) bilge promotion it's a cracking product that works, is probably superior to anything similar and hasn't a bad review unless you count Carol ranting and raving about CP on review sites and one or two of Rodson's other aliases going way off topic. If Tally lasts (let's hope it does) it really could blow the competition out of the water. They are aware of bugs and issues and are refining the app every day. The progress we've made so far should work in our favour. But cash is a never ending concern.
