Just because the motley fool envisages a higher share price for Lloyds does not necessarily mean it will happen a lot of posters on this board are envisaging a higher price for Lloyds this year minimum 60p this year notably falky livestock chips love and light 64p livestock sufcessex azzuri do you really believe them if you do you might as well believe Santa Claus is real

It was laughable the emails to the board asking for the cancelled dividend to be paid as if the board were going to listen the dividend has now been rebased and there are better dividend shares available in the short term the share price is going to be dictated by the Dow Jones which is already looking toppy any slight fall in the Dow Jones is magnified onto the ftse100

It is a non starter just idle talk on a down day pretty much like the emails to the board asking for the cancelled dividend to be paid another non starter

Falky you said 50p-55p will be seen this week so who is going to believe you when you say 60p -70p range will be seen in 2021

Barclays showed a lot of strength today building on the good day yesterday suggesting a lot of institutional buying what was interesting today was share price started falling at midday from 47p to sub 46p in a matter of one hour why the drop

It doesn't matter that the share price has a net asset value of 55p the present price is 46p projected yield there are better shares out there with better yield and less risk

Southcoast I am afraid the rocket has run out of fuel if Lloyds cannot post a decent rise on results day and dividend announcement when the ftse100 posted a decent rise also the Dow Jones as well then when can it I just cannot see Lloyds having a decent run where it posts three consecutive days of rises above one per cent I would say 50p is the maximum this year and even that is going to be a struggle

Asperger's I agree it is a bit of fun but a donation of about 1000 pounds is very welcome to cancer research helped by some generous donations above the suggested 10 pounds

Southcoast I have not noticed any big sells today just the usual boring trades majority under 10000 shares I just think some small holders were dissapointed with the dividend as if you are after yield you can do better elsewhere so some selling there also some profit taking by traders also there will have been a lot of stops taken out at 46p

I thought to enter the year end share price competition there is a minimum 10 pounds donation to the charity there are some people who have entered the competition but yet to donate the ten pounds some regular posters on this board as well
