i am not aware that any formal offer has been made for the takeover of Serica. Am I not right in saying that approaches have been made to the Board but nothing formally. I think its a big ask for AA to take us out. Personally I think we are worth in advance of 500p+ and I don't fancy being bought out using our own cash.
Lets see how this plays out....
Serica is the single biggest holing in my pension fund.

As per CA's half year report published this morning the average of their HUR shareholding is 6.7p a share.

Even with £995m cash in the bank they are holding back on an interim dividend.
Maybe a major acquisition on the way?

My initial thoughts on CA's increased shareholding is that they are going to attempt a cheap takeover at our expense.
Upon reflection I don't think this is the case as they are an Investment Fund and thus not in the business of running any of their investee investments.
Any thoughts?

Presumably the new interim chairman will become interim executive chairman.
