"WeightWatchers is teaming up with a provider of weight-loss drugs such as Wegovy and Mounjaro, in a seismic shift for the brand away from a focus on dieting as it tries to turn around its struggling business.

WeightWatchers, which has promoted a non-medical, points-based approach to food intake since its creation in the 1960s, has announced a strategic partnership in the UK with CheqUp, a provider of GLP-1 weight-loss medication and accompanying clinical support and health coaching.

The partnership comes weeks after WeightWatchers filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the US, as it tries to cut its debt after the popularity of anti-obesity injections upended its model.

Lord, I seem to recall one of the companies were allegedly infringing our patent? Maybe OPTI have struck an agreement instead of going down the costly and time consuming legal route. Food for thought?

Agree mostly Skid. The products are great and the scientific claims are robust. I've been a customer since they first launched Slimbiome Medical, I also buy the bars and I know they work really well. It's just a real shame they couldn't get someone with strong commercial nouse on board. Instead, it seems SOH is treating OPTI more like a family firm than a PLC.

Net, how do you know he hasn't sold? He only held 153k shares as of May this year and does not show up on the latest director holding list. If he hasn't sold, maybe his holding is now private as he is no longer privy to company operations?

Marshall Wace have been shorting Croda but it looks as though they're finished with no shorts declared.

I have a fair bit of dry powder, deffo worth keeping an eye on. ;~)

I can't actually see what the problem with Croda's share price/valuation is? Brokers are saying £30ish, the directors are filling their boots, and forecasts are good. Are they being stalked by a predator? Is bazza lining up a hostile takeover?

Might be worth a punt if they drop much lower?
