After following the spiraling upward share price and reading the next best thing to sort covis 19 the impulse to get aboard the gravy train was great
However
other factors held me back and my own research conclusions were not as impulsive to allow me the "PUNT"

this drove the price down to a real low

This is a personal view and thanks but not interested in replying to any agree or otherwise

Personally think divi SHOULD be cancelled
What are we going to do with the money anyway reinvest in the never ending quest for more
If it is paid mine will 100% go to help others via a donation to somewhere like homeless or foodbank etc if its not will STILL continue helping others both financially and physically where able (can afford it )

be ironic if chinese come in with a bid

those who already still hold shares will have to sit tight and see what transpires, or ,as it seems some already doing cutting their average by buying more
unless anyone has knowledge of how long/far the pandemic will last then this buy strategy will be nothing short of a gamble

Yes agreed up to the cash /share bonuses bit
share save scheme i understand fully and agree with
as we all know
"the value of a share can go down as well as up" LOL
cash bonuses are all good as long as there are clear indications as to who and how the monies are generated as bonus and what the driver is to pay it.
Prefer performance related pay structure
company doing well
get paid well with okay salary and cash bonuses backdated 3 months arrears
company doing badly
enjoy the low salary with no bonuses

many at the top of most companies abuse their powers to ensure they receive large bonus for the efforts achieved where they have no bearing on company doing well or otherwise
again own opinion

Hundreds of millions in salaries are an overhead ,,,,No?
Only my own personal opinion however
You have to have the right staff and good salaries to generate the income to therefore create profit to pay reasonable dividend.
