There’s been a lot of effort to create accounts to persuade people we are all on a sinking ship,I wonder why people would want to do that with complete strangers on bulletin boards?……its not to hard to guess why with a company like GCM resources,very high pi involvement and low free float of stock…….I think you would have to be very stupid to take onboard info from a new account 😂

None of this surprises me….there has been a sickly,sticky rush to get that rooftop solar rushed through….every other means to get solar failed,privateers ran a mile….previous solar arrangements with the awami govt got quashed…..someone wanted to wipe the slate and have their own solar arrangement,the only deal that was going to work was plastering the panels on govt buildings by law 😡

Just read an article where “Peak Coal” looks like going the same way as “Peak Oil”……it got pushed out and out to the point the experts stopped embarrassing themselves by trying to predict the Peak….🙄

Great info regarding bara……to open pit all that site is the most efficient way forward…..no job losses,probably increased employment…….all the land around the pit is affected by geo faults/subsidence and a good scheme of work similar to phulbari is needed…….

Financially Phulbari does look like the first to go with the $15bln tabled to get it to production…….if phulbari gets the green light bara is finished anyway and I suspect investment to open pit bara would very likely come via the same source as pb……

I have come to the conclusion now this development will not be lauded from the Dhaka rooftops it will get signed up as necessary policy 👍

The international community won’t let this descend into a farce…..it’s been rubber stamped by some of Banglas biggest investors and the conspirators will be seen off imho if it starts to get messy…….all mouth and no trousers like the NCP…prospectively 2% of the vote 🙄

They hate the fact domestic resource use is coming down the track to unshackle it from loans and borrowing…….3 paid protestors were killed 20yrs ago in the name of greedy self serving politicians,that ammunition is no longer viable as many more lives will be lost to poverty if the country doesn’t transition………

The trouble with this unelected govt of tree huggers,the three zeros has gotten in the way of actually dealing with the issues mentioned in that article……Yunus and Rizwana want the green grants and reparations and banning plastics but they can’t bring themselves to openly admit drilling and digging the country out of debt is the only option left to them!……there is a imho a change going on as quietly as they can get away with…….the leads are there under the surface,like coal use being massively ramped up and evidence of huge extra coal imports…..this switch is underway quietly to domestic resource extraction….we know Yunus says one thing and does another,he’s an economist at the end of the day and he really does know the present situation with import reliance will eventually bankrupt the country……

After the fall of the AL government, there was strong expectation of long-term and sustainable reforms in the power and energy sectors when the interim government took over. But over the past year, apart from some legal reforms and settling arrears, the government has not taken much initiative to ease the financial pressure in these sectors.

Looks like a stalemate at the moment…….that’s no bad thing….the market really has to tip this up to move it around…..the election being pushed out till February gives people room to go play other stocks I suppose,not my cup of tea,the new energy/coal policy should be on the way soon……..

The biggie for me is Mr three zeros,champion twig chewer Yunus signing off on the big coal electric ramp up…..the path to the eventual use of domestic coal resources if I’ve ever seen one 👍

If my maths are correct coal use for electricity generation has gone up 80% from earlier this year 16%-28%…….they kept that quiet 😉

Interesting to compare the energy generation dynamics have changed from the Argus article which is the norm to the Bangla generation info on Wednesday 13th August…a huge swing to coal generation?

The country is likely to continue seeking more supplies for the remainder of the year. Natural gas makes up the largest share of the country's power generation mix at 43pc. This is followed by oil at 23pc and coal at 19pc.

Sadly they never seem to factor in the environmental costs of logistics….even the jetting around the world mr green cuckoo Yunus does…it all seems to be for the betterment of humanity….and his wallet!!…..

Mm,s still playing with the stock but I hope people learn from that episode earlier this week….1.8mln shares over two days down 24%……..1mln shares back up 24% in an hour Wednesday……..its the only way to get stock and that’s to play rough 👍
