1 excavator, 2 trucks, 2 loaders.
Rain is a problem on site now, mining area is very wet.
It states sinohydro would do it but all discussions with sinohydro have gone very quiet.
If EDL are serious about a power plant, the next fund raise will be for the feasibility.. Probably $2M+!!
The biggest challenge for the coal plant is water supply, there is a significant rainy season but the dry season is also long. A feasibility study will focus on water and dam position so it has adequate capacity but won't silt up in the heavy rain.
2 years for the feasibility, 1 year to raise funds, 3 years to construct. Not just the power plant but a significant dam too.
As I've said before, much better to focus on industrial coal supply to west Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda where EDL have a geographical advantage
Old video, majority 2017 & 2018!
Will let you know, back tomorrow.
Timed my escape from another lockdown perfectly!!
I'll rephrase it, no positive news means they stay quiet.
Thyey need have fuel on site to run consistently before any decent production happens.
Just check you understand the difference between reserve and resource. Edl doesn't have 173Mt of saleable coal.

The contract negotiation issues are obly what are being talked about but there must be some truth with no change on site!
I can say what I've heard but it's un verified so shouldn't be taken as fact.
1. Edl are still running the site with 1 excavator and 2 trucks.
2. They are currently only removing waste, all the easy accessed coal ws taken and they didn't plan for the future to schedule the waste strip
3. They don't run all the time. Don't have money to purchase fuel for the machines
4. The dismissed workers are taking edl to court for non payment of wages
5. Upendo, local partner, is taking edl to court for non payment of his %
6. Negotiations are ongoing with contractors but edl don't trust their motivations.
Lets see how long this lasts!!!
25 degrees, little humid but not bad.
3 hours ahead of London so I'll be sleeping soon
