Sometimes a wide spread to the downside could trigger stop losses. Maybe that's why they do it? But it does restrict a lot of trade-off profits?

Spotify...any result should move the markets. Markets in limbo is an uncertain market.
Biden win should move stocks higher.
Trump win, they go even higher.

They should be put naked into village stocks in a remote field of cows and covered in treacle. Then each time they laugh, spread more treacle over them them. And made to swallow the key to the stocks along with a strong laxative and left to their own devices?

Widening the spread to the downside is a bit nasty. Imagine another small drop with a wide spread in place could trigger some stop losses?

The markets need an outcome ANY OUTCOME, then the markets will buzz again.

The concern is that the vote was stopped because Trump was too far ahead in Pennsylvania. In his own words "This has never happened before, voting should continue throughout the night until finished. We don"t want another 400,000 votes to suddenly appear from nowhere"

Most of America think Trump is ignorant but he fights to get things done. That is why they want him to finish the job. Trump voters are keeping it secret to their friends and families that are 'cursing' Trump, while secretly all the 'silent' majority are two faced turncoats voting with one eye on their bank accounts and the other on their pockets. Debateable who is best Trump^Biden for the economy. When Trump won in 2016 the markets rose a lot.
A Trump win could do the same again. Whatever people think (before the virus) TRUMP kept to his word and got US industry working again creating jobs lost under Bill Clinton, Dubya Bush and 2 terms of O'Drama. Cutting taxes and getting things done. Forget what the Trump haters say, the markets like Trump.
