Yeah. If it does go ahead its an approx 40p drop. Great way to lower the average assuming the sp hasn't run away if it gets confirmed

OldTrader - And that's exactly the way to go. Sadly i don't have the free cash to get that many but it'll turn into a lovely divi income stream in my pension. Theres a good chance i don't sell these with my average sitting in the £1.40s

Who cares about short term goals.

Two or three years down the line when we're getting yearly divis at 50%+ of the current price is when the real money is to be made.

This is the definition of a value buy and hold

1gandhi - I know you meant a proportion, but why do that? Why would Shaun give out any of it when hes working hard getting financing in place. Its easier to get a loan if you have more cash. Thats why mortgages are cheaper if the percentage of what it is secured against is smaller

I don't see it being paid as a special divi. Thats the equivalent of Shaun giving away a chunk of Hav for nothing as theres no benefit to GGP. Personally i'd far rather it was kept and used for Hav expenses / further drilling elsewhere.

Yes. We all know a number of AIM companies who would send out heavily spun results if they did it in house

Richie - Make that two weeks to make changes. If its going to be voted on by shareholders at the AGM it needs to have been communicated at least 2 weeks before the AGM

Richie - If the divi is cancelled then their won't be an ex div date for it to drop. The drop is the value of the divi taken from the sp. No divi then no divi drop

CWWX - Its kinda win win really. If they pay the divi thats a fantastic bonus. If they announce they're pulling / delaying it, we'll see a big drop where we can lower averages. Thats probably actually the better result for me, as this is a long term value hold for me

Solstace - Thats using broker targets from before the war started. Its meaningless

CWWX - That is not the reality. That is your opinion. Your opinion may be correct, it may be not, but you can not categorically state it will not be paid. Especially as there is 6 weeks until the scheduled ex div date. That is a long long time in the current state of the world

Invest - They declared it would be paid on 9th RNS, potentially subject to change. It'll need to be approved at the AGM, thats not down to the new directors.

They potentially could change the divi, but any news like that is likely to see a big sp drop if they take too much away. That becomes even more of a good buying opportunity

Invest - Yes. They've already stated they're going to pay it since the conflict started and sanctions put in place.

Autonomy - Or do both. Hold now for the div, and have free cash available for if the ex div drop takes us below your current average
