the grammatical torture trying to read that aside, what is stupid is failing to acknowledge your mistakes and the risks of an investment you have made. successful people aren’t so lacking in self confidence that they refuse to admit mistakes, they acknowledge them and learn from them.

i’ve traded the **** out of this over the last few years and made a pretty significant profit, so i’m not “down serious money”. the irony is, those down serious money are either too arrogant and/or stubborn to acknowledge their mistakes and/or too foolish to recognise they have made mistakes and are the investors who should be laughed at, not laughing.

when the company leadership can demonstrate competence in sticking to and effectively and efficiently delivering on the strategy they have harped on about for years and deliver shareholder value through share price appreciation, then those not foolish enough to ignore all the self inflicted damage that the management team have inflicted on the company and that is reflected in the share price will stop their valid criticism of them.

You’re wasting your time engaging with John. He’s inhabiting his own echo chamber and needs to believe it’s a certainty that everything will work out to avoid having to accept the reality of the dire state of the share price and that he might have made a poor investment decision.
