I very much agree with your sentiment Poni.

I recall extremely well, this board singing the praises of GH during the discovery of HAV, announcement of JV with Newcrest and subsequent rocket rise in the SP. That was a considerable amount of time.

He provided the tools for Calum to drill and strike gold. We do not and will never know the full details of JV negotiations. Was he bullied into this type of deal, who knows. But we gained another 5% and probably more importantly we had the final say on the remainder of the 70% which has led us to acquire Telfer.

I know I maybe in the minority, but without that strike, there is a very good chance we would not be here - we have to thank GH and CB for that. He stated he was not the man for the job to progress further, he sold up and left. Not many CEO's every admit they don't have the skills to continue. Maybe we all who had shares at that time should have sold when GH was selling and then buy back in now. Thats our own fault for not selling when we were experiencing an inflated market and the fundamentals of the company with no revenue at that time were plain to see. We were all very emotionally attached to the share (and still are) - which is not healthy at times.

I am grateful for what we he did for GGP. I feel criticism of his work is at times unfair.

At the same time, I am very impressed with SD, who is prepping the business to eventually get us back to the previous SP high and some.

Joking aside, he is the face of GGP, what better person to have to be conducting the presentation. One of his top priorities. If he was working on the tailings personally, then I maybe questioning the best use of his time.

A question to the more knowledgeable - how much oz of gold can Telfer process each year? Or is not as simple as putting a number on it? Too many assumptions and ifs I guess? Anyone.

Similar to the recent Sunday roast interview, another great piece of comms from SD. Amongst a number of nuggets (no pun intended), particularly enjoyed the enthusiasm that SD showed when describing 12 quarters of potential free generative cashflow. Bearing in mind A$145 million in the bank after the December numbers, thats some serious potential cash, to strengthen the balance sheet, invest in the mine bit and ultimately provide the A$800 million required to bring HAV online. Let alone the big blue chip banks wanting to provide uoto AS750 million of that if required. Looking forward to the full quarter details shortly. Lastly the hedging ensures we will obtain AS3900 per ounce gold price minimum, with no ceiling. Splendid.

That was a great listen on the Sunday roast. Many of the questions I had in mind were asked and more importantly answered by Shaun.

Shaun was quite open about his aspirations for Telfer. There really does seem to be so many drilling options there to extend the mine life. A mixture of open pits (volume) and under ground high grade. He seemed very excited. Hav, although being the "jewel" is almost the side show whilst Telfer makes us the money in the meantime.

Great takeaway - sell gold in a strong US dollar whist the majority of expenditure costs are in a weak Aus dollar against the greenback! A fantastic way to improve margins.

Yes, I have been conversing with Vaneck in an attempt to rectify the significant shortfall in their holdings of GGP Shares. Over the past couple of days they have started to rectify the issue, but there is still a long way to go.

No further correspondence from Vaneck with regards to GDXJ issue I have raised with them.

But......

Another 23,100,000 purchased yesterday.

My calculations show they should own around 364,103,435 GGP Shares

GDXJ Currently hold 240,657,009

So by my calculation they still have to buy 123,446,426

Forgive me on the detail information. Some one posted a few days ago possible gold fund buying as part of the re balance and estimated a further 120 million shares remained to be bought. The last purchase was 20 million which resulted that day a rise of approx 6-7% - maybe we seeing the same again. Anyone?

Random one - was watching a re-run of The West Wing - Season 3 episode 11 last night. The "President" gathered his team for urgent talks after listening to a group of oncologists who explained to them that a drug was being developed to "perform like a guided missile, a smart bomb" targeting cancelling cells without harming the good cells. That was circa 2002 - roll on Monday for further updates, including the proposed pipeline and funding opportunities. The CEO set out her objectives a few months ago, time is approaching were we will now be measuring her performance. Onwards!
