Bloody cheek what is the point in investing if you cant put it in an ISA. for a small saver the ISA does help you to save.

ANYWAY ALL Thank you for your comments I just the all my hard work and savings is going down the pan for example the last case cost me over £40,000 and the judge just dismissed the case , PS . the judge did not know anything about maintenance. the work that i have been doing for over 40 years.

I just do not talk to m them. and as I am now over 70, I want to move to a little detached house and enjoy the rest of my life with out Problem's for then rest of my years. I am living in hell at the moment , I all ways tell the truth and do not Lie , but going to the law would just right me off.

I am English I have worked bloody hard all my life and because of policies from governments I find myself in a position where, I am stuck in a house that needs work done to it that I am not able to do because people that have moved close to me use their background to stop me. I did try the lay and did not win and people that do not understand English they stop me and use their background to say they do not understand. I want to leave the UK as this is not the values that I was brought up to live to.

These shares were bought over 20 years and the total value is now worth £ 50,000. i need to move to another house as I have a neighbor that is from veitnam . and if i say anything to him he says i am harassing him. and I want to make sure i can carry out maintenance on my house with out hassle

So to get around CGT is to sell the shares in small lots over time ?

say I bought a share at £3.00 then sold them FOR £4.00 and then put the money in an ISA , THEN BOUGHT THEM BACK. WOULD I have to pay tax on the the profit being £1.00 ? even though I bought them back in the ISA at an even greater Price.
