If you short properly you make money going down with someones share/ but by closing a position you do the same thing as you are not loosing but gaining on the position you have closed and it does not cost, the money I use is my pension pot so it is quite large

I have two trading accounts and only sell shares from them close long now at 1325.8182

well the way i look at it selling shares is shorting only in a small way but you don't pay the loan rates

I got very badly burnt a few years ago SO this controls me using money in account, once it is gone it is gone. cant loose any more :-)
