I agree fsa are toothless the platform i use removed shares i had in my portfolio when the firm mooved from the UK TO the american markets and i was not able to trade them for over 4 months ever though i was thousand of £ down , the dealer only offered me £200 compensation ever though that time i could have doubled my money, you scratch my back and i will scratch yours old boy.

This is rather simplistic but a firm can stop lending their shares out if they know that they are going to be used by shorter ???

GET ELECTED spend some of the companies money for bolt on acquisitions buy a load of the company s shares while low then get a few more bolt on s sharer goes up a bit then decide to split the company in two to get share holder value.
then sell off all the bolt on s share drops very attractive take over and company sold for a Premium ceo not required any more gets severance pay and loads of dosh from her share s end of story LOL :-)

mmm what a pity putting money in to a company for a couple of days is not investing it is gambling, your actions are just gambling, and do not benefit the company at all
