So I guess we will all be glued to the results @ 9am tomorrow then. GLA
Refinancing deal. I’m very nervous about Tuesday, but think really bad news would have already been put out, be great to spring a good news surprise, but I doubt it, it will be more a reaffirming exercise in my view, which could still help SP back to a £1 which I would be happy with at this stage.
HY results I don’t think the news will be groundbreaking, but I do think it may provide more detail & clarity on progress made thus far, my hope is it will give the SP a little boost and increase volume as potential investors will have a better idea of the turnaround, DW has been in post almost 1 year now so it’s an ideal time to announce what’s been achieved beyond the refin
Hi Jordan, welcome to the board, its a tough one, most of us here have bought in at higher prices, and are long, the half year results are eagerly awaited. They will hopefully give an indication to how we are progressing or not as the case may be, I believe the business is grossly undervalued, but the market disagrees, and short activity has increased recently, so its nervous times. You could bag yourself a bargain at these prices, but if you want more certainty wait until after next week, and make a more informed purchase. Sorry to sit on the fence.
Can’t break that 70p ceiling, but it’s having a good go at least.
Surely one needs to win contracts in order to be in a position to make a profit and pay down debt, and when these are sizeable and long term, one would assume this would make it more likely. In any event the market would seem to agree with you.
Guys I’m not selling, just miffed that how a company can win contracts worth over 100M & it doesn’t effect SP in any way. We’ve been bereft of news and the SP has declined 40% over past 3 months, I thought today’s news would have some effect, at least break through 70p barrier. I’m long here and for the medium to long term. Things now rest on a decent update and I’ll be honest I’m not holding my breath, and even if it’s stellar news it probably won’t effect the SP it would seem.
Interserve wins a £67M contract, share price goes down, I give up.
How upto date is that short tracker anyway?
There’s been an increase in volume past couple of days, helped by what appear to be sizeable single purchases over 500k yesterday and over 200k today. Possibly small shorters closing out pre results, who knows, I’ll tske it,
An almost 9% rise today, hopefully this can be maintained and be the start of something, we shall see.
Here we go again, downward :(
I though there would have been a little more SP action today?
@Meta good to see you’ve gone long. You may have picked up a bargain. I’ve held my nerve for the past few weeks, got my average to 81p now and my paper loss has halved in past few days which is good to see, hopefully be at a break even point by the end of the month.
Where was that announced, nothing on the website? Something to give the SP direction one way or other, I sincerely hope all bad news is now baked into current SP and we will see a sharp spike on progress made thus far.
It’s a valid point @meta. I guess those of us who are long have become a little frustrated that despite decent contract wins & a sizeable disposal the SP Is still massively depressed and the current value overweight. Clarity on profitability at the half year and management of debt will be key to any SP rise, I hope it will see some shorts reduce their position by then to see a healthy rise then spike on announcement, One can only pray we are on course.
@meta don’t think it’s been forgotten we won a sizeable contract yesterday & it did precisely zero to the SP :(
Looks like some have started on the drinks early, great to see a 5% rise today but I remember thinking last week I hope 62p was as low as it would go. So I’m staying pessimistic until I see 80p I really hope that we do get a good bounce tomorrow along with a World Cup final to look forward to. GLA
@Aendjo they finally announced the contract win @ Liverpool let’s hope Glen Pava is not too far behind.
@meta I was thinking more like shorters covering position, - more like hoping.
