Gold dropping, CEY rising. The most bizarre relationship I have ever seen lol. 18-19 December will be very very interesting days

Sotolo, The FED themselves said they will continue to raise interest rate even into 2020 and all articles speaking about the 18-19 meeting says interest rate is expected to be raised. You haven't seen the reflection in the gold price because stock market is severely collapsing (look at Dow 30 and S&P500, FTSE's as well) which hiked the gold price plus the week dollar and pound.

If Trump could influence FED to decrease interest rate, then at least we could say once he did something good! Let's wait and see. Meanwhile CEY seems to be jumping again to 110 this week and the next amid the FED meeting.

Undoubtedly it’s gold week till FED meeting but we are holding CEY shares not gold. And CEY is behaving strangely lately unparallel to gold. I do hope we catch up this week or another drop to 80s would be highly anticipated if FED raised interest rate again as expected

I think the share price is kept low so that big funds can load up at low price and discourage investors and force them to sell. I can since a rebounce even before a good RNS. I’m a beginner though and don’t ask anyone to take my word for granted :)

Indeed it was ex-div, hence shorters jumped in. The volume is very low though compared to other days. After each shorting, there is a boast. I’m praying for one

mrtibbles, great statement but I am not a long term investor like you. I wanted to consult fellow short term investors. Anyways, thanks for all those who shared opinions and insights. It does not only help me but helps thousands of silent readers as this forum is publicly open. May I ask in which day the Fed speech in December is?

mrtibbles, in share price. It is again close to the 110 that was not broken before. So it would either break it or fall back as before. What do you expect especially the company will have no news before first day of the new year (Q4 results)?

Yes it was such a disappointment so far. Let’s see what the actual numbers of tomorrow results will reflect. I do though hope it’s not another painful drop as I’ve seen this before in another share.

Price of Gold has no control now over cey share price. Only good RNS can undo the spell this could come with Q4 improvements and good dividend, the appointment of a new chairman, or progress in the court case. Normal parameters won’t get cey any value beyond 105-110 if it ever reaches that level.

What we see today is the effect of US mid term elections. Expect it to continue to rise for the rest of the week and hopefully break 420p.

MDC IS ROCKING IT. I expect it would settle for the 410-420 range until mid November when the results are out. Any opinions how this will move forward?

Indeed picket, ****ed up share. Gold is resisting stock market pickup valiantly and nothing is reflecting in CEY at all. Crap share
