US to lift pause on intelligence sharing with Ukraine and will resume security assistance

We've now received a joint statement from the US and Ukraine after today's meeting in Saudi Arabia which lasted nine hours.

The US says it will immediately lift the pause on intelligence sharing and will resume its security assistance to Ukraine.

The two countries took "important steps towards restoring durable peace" for Ukraine during today's meeting, the US State Department added.

Ukraine has also expressed its readiness to accept the US proposal to enact an immediate, interim 30-day ceasefire.

The two countries have also said they agreed to conclude an agreement for developing Ukraine's critical mineral resources.

Both delegations have also agreed to name their negotiating teams and immediately bring talks towards an enduring peace that provides for Ukraine's long-term security.

Just been listening to her live and she stated they have been getting regular updates throughout the day from the team involved in the discussions in S Arabia. She stated they will announce specifics later however she confirmed its been a very positive and productive meeting.

@punter; you post like a teenager and don’t make sense half the time. i think you should get checked out for ptsd as i think you have it. (***** talking ****e daily) you’ve never been in a war and certainly not got your hands bloody, if you had you’d not be announcing it on here in a vain attempt to try and make out you know anything about modern warfare in ukraine.

@Punter; if you click on reply at the bottom of a message it keeps the thread on the same topic, replying on another thread confirms you’re a bit dim. So everyone else in the army is inferior to you and not once did you rely on anyone else for anything; food, stores, admin, transport, air support, artillery, intelligence, operations, SNCO’s or officers. My god you are superman, I think I saw you in a film called “RAMBO” or was it “DUMBO”.

@Punter, I’ve not told any war stories it’s you who stated “Some of us actually have spilled blood and know from a soldier's point of view”. I was only 15 in 1982 but did a 6 month tour to FI in 1987 if that flicks your boat! Which war did you serve in?

@Punter; I’m hazarding a guess you weren’t in the Intelligence Corps! You sound like you’re very bitter about something, 22 year private I’m guessing who couldn’t move with the times.

@Punter; I spent the best part of 24 years in the army so the answer to that is obvious! At no point have I said I think Russia is right however the reality of the situation is grim for Ukraine if they continue fighting without full support from the West which they will never get and have never had for a multitude of reasons.

@Troajan; I’d expect them to step in and stop the fight, not throw me a weapon to help me as they stand back and watch what happens next.

@Punter; I’m 100% against the war, Russia and anyone providing support to them. I’m also against the West supplying arms to Ukraine, delaying delivery of those arms, encouraging/forcing them to go on the offensive with not enough weapons or air support and also not backing them up with feet on the ground all of which we were very happy to do in Kuwait/Iraq. Should we not be stopping Israel from what they’re doing in Palestine, rather than supporting them? We all need to open our eyes to the corrupt politicians (on both sides)

@Troajan; in those two years how many people were killed or injured on both sides and how much money was spent on arms etc? At some point somethings got to give as neither country has unlimited manpower and funding. The Ukrainians have done a fantastic job but sometimes you have to accept the inevitable. If the UK, France etc are willing to keep funding them granted that will solve one issue but they will still run out of people because not one country will join the war to help Ukraine by putting feet on the ground (too scared of Russia) doesn’t that tell you something about how they really feel?

@IKN; I agree that it makes sense but I hope he hasn’t put all the eggs into one basket once again. Common sense would be to proceed with the secondary listing as there is zero guarantee this war will end soon. Either way, an update to shareholders on the BODs progress should be the very least we get from CS after years of his abysmal communications.

It appears CS is waiting to see what happens with regards to the negotiations with USA/Ukraine & Russia ref ending the war despite telling us different in the Webinar.

The warrants are a Red Herring IMO. The only way they would get exercised is if the SP goes north of 26p, that will only happen IF the BOD announce a sale of the assets at around £1Bn. I see zero benefit to us shareholders in extending those warrants but happy to be corrected.

You also have to ask why the 53,306,751 warrants from 20 May 2021 at a price of 26.5p were not extended?

I would like to reiterate Ukraine’s commitment to peace.

None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians. My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to get a peace that lasts.

We are ready to work fast to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and truce in the sky — ban on missiles, long-ranged drones, bombs on energy and other civilian infrastructure — and truce in the sea immediately, if Russia will do the same. Then we want to move very fast through all next stages and to work with the US to agree a strong final deal.

We do really value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence. And we remember the moment when things changed when President Trump provided Ukraine with Javelins. We are grateful for this.

Our meeting in Washington, at the White House on Friday, did not go the way it was supposed to be. It is regrettable that it happened this way. It is time to make things right. We would like future cooperation and communication to be constructive.

Regarding the agreement on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it in any time and in any convenient format. We see this agreement as a step toward greater security and solid security guarantees, and I truly hope it will work effectively.

The BOD are remaining silent because that’s what they’ve done for years and now they are using the uncertainty with the current geopolitical situation as their latest excuse! This is my correspondence with Yellow Jersey;

It’s probably best to watch, listen & digest the information on this then make your own mind up rather than listen to the drivel spouted on here by so many.

@sharebel; a lot of posters have been here for years and know the facts. We hit 42.5p on 9 Dec 2020 due to II’s having to invest. Pre war Feb 2022 we were trading in the low 20s and have since lost the Rosgeo assets which as you know added huge value to the company. Every day you’ve said L2 is about to blow (it didn’t) SP is going to go up (it’s declined) if you’re going to try ramp, have the decency to post some facts and not insults us with utter b0llocks.

@Saint; it’s been nearly 4 months since CS told us

the Astana listing is a short term goal to increase liquidity and they want to achieve this asap so I don’t see why they can’t give us an update on that.

They were also looking at various legal alternatives of how to structure the asset sale and will report on the option they’re proceeding with as they arise.

CS said he is always looking to minimise costs & potential dilution so an explanation as to why he keeps extending the 26p warrants and in what way this will benefit us shareholders would be appreciated.

CS stated “they’re not waiting for events and are getting on with doing the job” yet now he’s not updating us because he’s apparently waiting on events!
