The Merger4 Apr 2014 21:47
I have read with interest all the good stuff (and crap) about the proposed merger with CPW. The general consensus is that such a merger will be beneficial to both parties but more importantly of greater benefit to Dixon's share price - which is why everyone is so excited. True, the combined value of both companies could propel it into the Footsie thereby compelling the institutions to by them which would increase their value - BUT - nobody has commented on Vodaphone's decision to spend over one hundred million pounds on new outlets to stop their reliance on CPW. I don't know what percentage of CPW's turnover is attributed to Voda's products but it must be considerabe and if Voda disassotiates itself then surely a merger might not be the road to Utopia. Comments please.
