Apparently PIs can spreadbet but MM/IIs can short the placing shares according to the knowledgeable sometimes annoying pwhite on that other site.

Not that I want to but if you can I would suspect a lot of the higher volume buys maybe shorts closing. No idea obviously

Not sure if they have sold any Cornerstone shares but based on the amount showing on Vela’s website it shows 595902 shares. They have gone up from 22p in late Dec to 30p so at least that is something. £47K extra ish

So someone bought nearly £40K of stock yesterday and the share price happens to go up over 100% today. Yet the BOD have come out and stated there is no specific reason for the rise. Sounds odd!!

I would argue that policies paid by instalments perform worse than policies paid in one lump sum.

Fraudsters for example generally pay by instalments knowing that if they have a claim rejected for fraud they do not have to pay any further instalments and just get the policy cancelled. They then move onto the next insurer and try do the same.

However if every customer who is eligible for instalments paid the same rate regardless of their credit rating then that seems unfair

Dividends are historically announced in March (main dividend previous full years results) and around Aug/sept for the six month results.

Not sure whether one will be announced in March. May have to wait until the half year results come out

Does anyone have any figures on how much SYME need to IM to break even? Nobby from ADVFN is quoting £1Billion but he is always on the negative side so not sure how accurate that is?

Turbot, a lot of the percentage price changes on LSE from Friday are incorrect I believe. It went up 3.8%. Another example is COPL which states a 20% increase when in fact it went down 7.5%

Ginger. It’s because people bailed out as soon as it spiked and yeah I kind of agree the RNS was not seen more positive than it was. The issue is that nobody trusts or believes AZ can make this work on the scale it needs to do. The concept is clearly not churning clients on a regular basis. WL was obviously positive but again it’s how quickly and regularly contracts are signed.

Savvy, I share your frustration with the Syme haters/de-rampers or whatever you want to call them. However, they are not the fundamental issue. Syme is. Until Syme start generating regular revenue then this will keep happening.
