Good to see cost cuts coming through. Also, looking through last year's accounts there were around £30million of one off costs, so hopefully profits should hold up, even though revenues will most likely be lower. No sign of the contract wins mentioned by another poster as yet.

yes, best to have as low a price as possible whilst they repurchase shares. also, as regards the remaining surplus capital after Numeric has been paid for and the buyback has been completed, there should be in the region of $200 million (I think). I would love a special divi., but actually think another acquisition could be far more beneficial to the company in the long run. I have no idea what is available out there, but $200 million could presumably buy in the region of $10 billion-ish FUM. this would then funnel through to the bottom line. Man are completely debt free, so no worries there.

Be another decent day for AHL, so should be close to 1.20. Looking very positive - hopefully Numeric can add meaningfully to the bottom line too. Just still wary of a sudden term in the markets undoing all the good work as happened last May. I sincerely hope they have got to grips with it and won't let it shed value like that again.

Down.....not sure where they are planning on taking this to, but unless they know of something, then it's hard to see the justification for the continual red days (not that the mms need one!). Can't do anything else than wait and see what next week brings....hopefully some good news for July and August. Technically oversold now.

Hi, well you said that it only produces 220k oz? Well, it was 730 k oz last year and on target for 625k oz this at tcc of between 900-950 dollars per oz. 45% of production hedged this year at an average of approx. $1380, I think. Net debt as at 1st April was $911 million.

I think most Russian related stocks got knocked back today. Shouldn't worry too much - plenty of manipulation goes on and the spread doesn't help.

not really too sure what is propelling this higher at present? I said on the 7th may that I could see this in the 270-280 range in the next month or so....pity I didn't heed my own advice! sold out for a small profit, but would have been far larger had I hung on!

Oh,ok. Well, I will hold for the dividend at the very least. Think these results are actually extremely positive looking forward. Can see £5 within the next couple of months .

This year looks pretty decent going forward and if you strip out the exceptionals the results were ok. Lost a lot of revenue in the Australian division. Hopefully , with the election sorted and new infrastructure projects in the offing Hyder will benefit. The Middle East looks good too after a brief read of the results. Dividend of 8.5p goes ex on the 11th July

Yes, up 2.1% last week. There was a reasonable piece in the times yesterday too. If they continue to perform the share price will take care of itself

Typical mm antics. Hardly a high volume sell off. Results looked ok to me too, with plenty of orders secured too. Don't see this finishing down 5.5%, but been wrong before!
