BNamericas: Particularly in Brazil, small and medium-sized companies have always had difficulty raising funds in the market due to high interest rates. How is the current interest rate at historically low levels changing this scenario?

Nery: Low interest is always positive, we have to recognize and applaud that. The low level of interest rates makes loan conditions more favorable.

Now, we still have certain projects that have difficulties in raising funds and at Ibram we’ve discussed options to improve the business climate.

One of the options we’ve been talking to the government about is the use of mineral rights by companies as a financial guarantee to obtain loans. If a company can offer mineral rights as collateral, it would make it much easier to obtain new financing.

Another point that we want to promote is access of junior companies to the equity market. Mineral exploration involves a lot of risk, so it’s better to have a capital structure based on equity rather than debt. We are in talks with the Toronto Stock Exchange, which already has this expertise, and with the Brazilian stock exchange operator to try to develop a market in Brazil for those small mining companies to raise funds through the sale of shares.

Certainly lots of progress being made, nice to see SP rising as well although we’ve got a pesky seller now! Loads of value as you say, 10p just £25m and there are multiple cos with MC multiples of that with no resource, or more importantly route to monetize. If it wasn’t for the excitement I have I’d be quite laid back!

Delayed but appeared not a sell, so that’s 700k more buys than sells today. Also buy along with the others covers all the sub 5.3p sells in the afternoon... Pressure building :)

If no large delayed sell pops up then today we’ve had circa 500k more buys than sells (delayed trades don’t get added to the buy/sell on lse front page. MMs moved it back in tiny sells, didn’t allow volume to buy - but some got spooked into selling.

500k basically would have been added to MMs short position. When we break out we should break out very strong :)

BF- looks very much like we will easily have the 30 year at 600km PA production.

Hopefully more tenements will be added as surely if there are 2 areas with VTM deposits in the area there may be more. Fingers crossed we end up with a mini district capable of much larger production than 600k PA in years to come

As I’ve said before I’m not a huge fan of inground value, doesn’t consider costs/quality of grade etc.. However for what it’s worth or for those more used to copper or gold there are numbers below. Remember current drilling is targeting for a 200% increase (trebling) of numbers below...

Obelix - panic sells always the way, then lemmings follow each other! Add in issues with number of UK brokers today and probably had some unable to buy, whereas unlikely many will sell at current prices. Just hope no one got caught out with stop losses at the worse time!!

Obelix - ouch, sorry buddy. Still as you say drop seems excessive and was certainly quick. Hopefully we’ll get a day here in which you make a paper profit that exceeds today’s blip. 3p rise in a day would only add £7.5m to our market cap so certainly possible, certainly with PEA or partner news and I’m hoping trial mining application will be good as well.

Couple of buts not showing up on lse in the afternoon. Circa a 20k at 5.19 and for a 30k at 5.29 for last trade. Think that means book was at least even for us.

Kind of surprised we didn’t get the RNS this afternoon, however issues with brokers as well as funny market I suspect Shard were too busy to lodge it!!

BF- it’s a pain the MMs being so defensive. As you say n/t and with this big a spread thats extreme desperation by the MMs. If it wasn’t for someone selling 150k blocks we’d be over 6p already. News should force the MMs to redo book, just as did when the Valore met results moved us up. Good news could be really explosive to the SP with newbies entering, hopefully any seller then slowly disposed into a rise as opposed to trying to kill it!

September production numbers? Not sure if fodere are producing yet in S Africa, need update on them. Is that what you mean? Next big news item I’m expecting is trial mining application put through now that Luis changed the rules in his role as VP of mining regulators, no coincidence that the changes meet our needs. Hopefully just waiting for his secretary to return with some stamps so he can post it!!!

Of course we are still also waiting to see what if anything is at mocidade which is just 3km away from pitombeiras as well :)

BF - almost certainly yes. 600k x 30 would be an 18mt resource. We’ve 5m already from, this drilling is targeting upto another 10m and then we’ve a number of other targets not drilled yet or part of this plan.

Question is how much is there and after trial mining do we look to increase production beyond 600k/t PA. Probably an answer for after we’re producing and have income coming in for even more drilling

D220- the synergies in products and location added to largos ambitions and positioning themselves of supplier of products as opposed to miner does support case they’d be a mutually beneficial case for some kind of partnership ;)
