The most recent Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) review for Hemogenyx Pharmaceuticals’ Phase I trial of HG-CT-1 (CAR-T therapy for AML) concluded with a positive recommendation on 29 October 2025.

Key outcomes from the DSMB safety review include:

* No Dose-Limiting Toxicities: The review of the first three adult patients treated at the initial dose level showed the therapy was well tolerated with no serious adverse effects.

* Approval for Dose Escalation: The DSMB authorised the trial to proceed to the next adult dose level, a critical milestone for determining the therapy's therapeutic potential.

* Pediatric Recruitment: The clearance also triggered the opening of pediatric patient recruitment at the starting dose level, addressing an acute unmet need in childhood AML.

* Early Efficacy Signals: In addition to the safety clearance, the company reported that the third patient showed no detectable leukaemia cells following treatment at the lowest dose.
