Are you on something musicalshres8 ?, inches away from 1.30s. On a serious note we are in a great position, there will be drops along the way to the target of either £2, £3, £4 and £5. Revenue is increases month on month, debt will disappear soon as well as lots of new deals, partnerships etc ahead be real and stop all the crap
I don’t post on this forum much, enjoy reading the educated ones provide in-depth opinion. There is no point worrying about FDA IND approval, it will happen in good time.
I’m happy just to wait and let it take its path, no red flags have come in to indicate otherwise
Metom, things are happening, let’s be realistic, 6 months isnt long enough to expect big changes, best to wait until August results, and then see what changes over next 6 months into 2024. The company is huge, it takes time to bring in his trusted team as well as shake the tree to lose the deadwood. He has already acknowledged many problems, he has sid that the business was going to set new financial targets in the second half of this year as it kicks off a strategic review of the business.

Turkish Airlines growth is 'sustainable', chairman tells Euronews
We should see RR benefit from large orders this year
Turkish Airlines will be investing in positioning themselves in the Middle East markets as well as targeting tourism from and to the US, China and Korea.
Summer travel [2023] for the first three months is very good, and especially we are focusing on American tourists to bring two million Americans to Istanbul. Last year, one million Americans came and last year China was closed, now it has started opening… We are going to focus on this," Mr. Bolat concluded.

Back in 2018 on the RR website news released on the following
Rolls-Royce has won an order from Turkish Airlines for Trent XWB engines to power 25 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, all of which will be covered by its flagship TotalCare® service support. The airline also has options for a further five aircraft
Did Turkey receive any or was this placed on hold until after covid?
Tufan is Turkish, this should be an easy win for RR, a cracking deal either for the existing order that has been increased or new orders
It makes me laugh, trading update spot on, the company was in a big mess over the past few years, it is growing in strength month on month led now by a determined senior management team. Any other business predicting revenue like this would be applauded
New order from Philippine Airlines for 18 more trent XWB Engines
https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/philippine-airlines-buy-9-airbus-a350-1000-wide-body-jets-2023-05-10/
Add this to the massive order in Feb from Air India for 68 engines plus an option for a further 20 means RR have plenty to work on and deliver over the next 2 years.
Wide bodied planes are back in fashion, A350 is a beast all using RR engines.
If you can stay the course until 2025 and not sell you will be rewarded massively
Bill Gates TerraPower looks to challenge RR, Hitachi and Bechtel on SMR development in the uk. TerraPower is backed up by South Korean energy giant SK group which put in $250 million.
Hopefully the uk will wake up and see what needs to be done . This government promised a commitment in 2021 of £210 million, is this still on the table ?
Disagree, I am expecting good news, past AGM’s have been stale due to all things in the past. We have a new CEO and incoming CFO with a clear direction, we have also seen big uptake in flying hours for wide bodied planes which is huge revenue for RR.
Plus there are additional new orders in all sectors of the business, we may even get news on a dividend date
There are many companies that were valued at billions that have collapsed in recent years,.
RR have been affected by a multitude of things, lack of flying due to COVID, reduction in sales, maintenance, poor management, general market sentiment with world conditions,
Engineering issues on existing engines that were costly to fix. Overcooking the books to make it look better than the company actually is. Large fines for bullying tactics, lots more that I have listed.
The fact is now we have cleared the deck and are looking better by the day, forget the past and look forward to what is coming
From Wiki
Wylfa Newydd nuclear power station known as Wylfa B, was a proposed project to construct a 2,700 MWe nuclear power station with two ABWR reactors in Anglesey, Wales. The project was owned by Horizon Nuclear Power which is a subsidiary of Hitachi, who are also the main shareholder in Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy, the supplier of the reactors for the project.
Hitachi withdrew from the project in September 2020, Hitachi announced its withdrawal from the project and from the sister site at Oldbury. It will close down its development activities, but will work with the UK government and other stakeholders to facilitate future options for the two sites.
On 28 January 2021, Hitachi formally withdrew its Development Consent Order application. The UK Government indicated that it would "continue to explore future opportunities" for the site
In my opinion we may make sense to have a joint venture on this project
I don’t mind the completion, like the sound of this, then no one can complain that RR was gifted it. It is already known that RR have the experience and expertise to design a fit for purpose SMR that complies with all government policy’s and can do what it is designed for backed up by a vast support operation. Other companies will try to roll this out but go over budget and cut corners where this can be done to allow them to have quick profits
QC is so important in the design and production, interesting to see other companies presentations
GE-Hitachi takes on Rolls-Royce in race to build nuclear SMR plants, winner to be declared in the Autumn, other contenders are thought to include South Korean power utility Kepco visited by Grant Shapps this month.
For me this is normal practice in competitive tendering, 3 main players in the mix
Good news is RR have already passed the first stage of the regulatory process with the SMR design, others playing catch up.
The government would face a big backlash from all involved if RR wasn’t the chosen one, fingers crossed no hidden agenda
