CE certification has nothing to do with technical risk you absolute fake. No company is going to drop a product because of CE certification, CE certification generally involves a few minor tweaks here and there, in fact, if the product has been designed properly in the first place it shouldn’t need any modifications. If you’re trying to convince investors they we’ll get a flood of orders once we receive CE certification then you’re more stupid than you look on LinkedIn

Patience is the key I’ve been hearing for over 10 years. It’s getting a little tedious that things are not moving faster, still little sign of sales, S&P partner announcement delay and now ICL cracker delay. At some point something has to come good ! But yes at least we have some revenue finally from hydrogen sales. When the ICL announcement was made ICL posted on their website along with ‘ Stay tuned for updates as the joint venture progresses and as we share more on how this partnership will reshape the UK hydrogen market.’ to date there have been no further updates.

Thanks Westy, I thought a while back someone mentioned there were 2 crackers, one at Dunsfold and another going to ICL. If the plan to move a cracker to ICL has been delayed that sounds concerning yes ?

Also did they mention how much revenue AFC was receiving from hydrogen sales and are AFC producing enough hydrogen that they don’t need to buy from Air products ( I think I know the answer to that), and when is the ICL cracker due to start operation (should be this month)

The entire remaining UK oil reserve is around 4–5 billion barrels — that’s less than two months of global consumption. That’s why the UK already produces hundreds of thousands of barrels a day and still pays global prices. The volumes are simply too small to shift the global price curve.”

And refining here doesn’t make it greener — UK refineries still burn fossil fuels, and the North Sea is one of the most carbon‑intensive basins per barrel because it’s old, deep, and energy‑hungry to extract. Shipping emissions are tiny compared to extraction and refining emissions, so the ‘transport argument’ barely moves the needle.

Supply and demand matters — but only when your supply is big enough to matter. The UK’s isn’t.

You’re comparing a global chokepoint that moves 20% of the world’s oil with the UK’s tiny, ageing North Sea basin. Even if we opened every undeveloped field tomorrow, the volumes are too small to shift global prices — which is why our bills stayed tied to global markets even when we produced far more domestically. The UK already gets 40% of its gas from its own waters and still pays global rates, so new drilling doesn’t protect us from price shocks, it just adds a few expensive, slow‑to‑deliver fields to a mature basin.

It does not lower bills, it does not significantly increase energy security long‑term, it does not align with climate commitments, it does not create large new job numbers, it does not guarantee more tax revenue.
