dont get me wrong i think foreign aid if well spent is good, maybe not as much when we have our basics like nhs, etc struggling, but i do think that rather than dish out cash to be spirited away by corrupt recipients maybe we should send uk produced items of use instead - so jcb's, uk food, expertise etc. This would effectively support our own industries at the same time as help others, so two winners.
id like to understand the glen debt position better, a few weeks back it was circa �10b, now we find its likely to be �30b because of creative figure juggling. To my simple mind money owing is a debt period, its not right to call it a banana with a different label.
