Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
A lot of individuals over at GGP and EUA who sat around waiting for 4-5 years for their loading up to finally pay off, this investing game can be a long wait sometimes but when you find a set of projects that you have a bit of conviction in, you can end up seeing 500-1000% rises very quickly.
I remember when EUA came out of suspension at 7p and ran all the way to 43p, was a pretty incredible ride to a part of and made some good money there.
ARB's rise was also pretty immense although I missed out on that one, they sat at 4p-6p for 2 years and in hindsight you can look back now and think, why didn't anyone realise the potential of crypto miners, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Not a lot of volume but I think smart individuals are starting to load up whilst this is sub 1p, I've seen a lot of bigger buys, £7-8k, £10k, £15k buys coming at a premium of the ask for the last several days.
Another one just came in at a premium over the ask:
07-Dec-21 10:33:07 0.45 3,997,782 Buy* 0.41 0.44 17.99k O
Hope this is the start of the push towards 1-2p, if we get some good gold results, things are about to get exciting very quickly.
I would tend to agree, I feel like the real value in the investment here is the backing and recognition ORCP has from the government, the Sheikh and the companies in and around the region.
The difference between success and failures in a lot of AIM companies is getting the funding and support to get off the ground, my suspicion is that we should be in a good position and our relationships will be the leveraged well.
JonesRichard is well known for his ramping and day trading antics, he moves from share to share, telling everyone "£10 is coming within a year".
Seen him at GGP, EUA, UKOG, ARB, SYME, GDR, VLS, QBT, and list goes on and on, it's become a running joke that as soon as jonesrichard enters the BB, its a sign to sell up.
Burleigh that makes a lot of sense in terms of progressing the hydrogen project, the only logical reason why they've suddenly switched to this hydrogen project would be a sale of THAR in the works.
I've seen a few naysayers mention that the company keeps flip-flopping, but it actually makes a lot of sense, ORCP can leverage the relationships they've built in the region to sell the interest in THAR because there clearly is some interest still in Coal, and then once again leverage those relationships to be trusted to develop the hydrogen project.
This allows the company to move away from dirty energy, whilst also delivering value for shareholders.
I think you have to consider the wider political benefits of what the Sheikh is doing rather than financial.
The Sheikh can buy this company out with pocket change today if he really wanted to, yet he's slowly increasing his stake, so you have to consider that there must be a strategy behind all of this as in more of a collabarational approach in the region between the P4kistan, China and the UAE.
Whichever way you look at it, there's a lot of exciting possibilities.
If this can even do 1/4 of what EUA and GGP, which is what, 5p? 120mil MCAP?
That could be possible if everything goes to plan, solid gold results, sale of THAR and a well financed Hydrogen project, it's all still a dream but dreams can become reality.
For me the biggest positive is the director buys and the 20% stake from the Sheikh, can't go wrong there.
It's definitely positive signs, I mentioned a few weeks ago that I would like to see Sheikh take a further stake, but there is still a long way to go.
There's always a chance that if a sale of THAR is on the agenda, the Sheikh wanted to have all of his holdings exercised.
Today a lot of the 10% lot sold on the spike, what I didn't understand is some PIs selling out right on the bid at 0.32p after the spike calmed down, seems like most will have just lost money.
I maintain an initial target of 1p/1.5p, I will review my position at that stage.
I'm sure the need to give up a large percentage of the product in order to fund it would be factored into any negotiations, from a buyers point of view.
It's a double-edged sword, because you bear the risk of coal eventually finally being phased out, but a the same time you have ownership of one of the final significant coal projects in the area. As India and China have demonstrated, they aren't ready to give up coal yet so the beneficiaries of this project would be able to sell it as the last hoorah for coal in the region.
You can run the numbers in several ways, Oracle with to receive effective 10-20% payment for the project, project sold at £500m, project sold at £1bil but with a higher discount, etc.
Either way, if they do pull off a sale of THAR, it does look like it takes the share price to the 2p region just based on That, I'm not a expert in gold but add that in and the Hydrogen play, you suddenly start draw in buyers at the 2p (£48m MCAP) region because investors may then be able to view the BOD as component and being able to get projects over the line, speculative buying and sentiment may draw the company into a £100-200million market cap.
I'm struggling to find as many opportunities in the market that can match these prospects, of course at this moment in time it's all based on wishful thinking and ideal scenarios, but a news-rich year in 2022 with the BOD delivering results and more director purchases and I may choose to hold long-term, I know a lot of individuals who kicked themselves for selling out of the likes of GGP or EUA too early, have to let your winners run.
I'm sure I read somewhere about a 12% ownership for Oracle once the funding model was put in place.
If That is sold for lets say £500m, 12% for Oracle is around £60m, gives a valuation of around 2.7p, which is a very solid return, maybe a good strategy would be to pay out a special dividend of around 1p per share, and use £30m to develop other projects, which can add real value to the company going over the next year or two.
I've been watching since 1.2p, AIM is always about loading up early at these low levels whilst volume is low.
If Hydrogen play, along with the Gold and the THAR project bring some positive interest, it's not impossible to see a speculative push towards a 70/80m market cap (3-4p), with a bit of sentiment based buying, but that's all based on how well the BOD perform and if they continue to buy shares.
There's a lot of others in this or similar sector that aren't producing but have potential running into MCAPs of 300-400m, a fraction of that and we can see some serious returns here.
Would also be nice to see Sheikh Ahmed Bin Dalmook Al Maktoum take a further a stake, which would fill investors with further confidence, let's see what happens, it might be a boring wait to begin with but you have to be in it to win.
I've also taken some at this level, 813,531 for £3000.
At this stage, honestly I see it as a short-term trade to around 0.60-0.70p, however, if the company produce some good results, I am willing to see it out to 1-2p.
Always positive when BOD take up shares at these levels.
I got into EUA at 1p and sold at 24p earlier in the year, so I'm searching for my big next winner, however I'll keep expectations low until we hear something from Naheed.
