and youre not getting £7 worth of stuff, them sandwiches will cost about 30p to produce, a bag of crisps does not cost £2 in any kind of situation other than the on you have just written down. I bet youre that person who falls for all the black friday deals arent you. Ive got some magic beans for sale that are normally £1000 but if you sign up to the david elliott special card where i get all your data you can have them for £100 so youre saving £900.... see how this works yet

maybe that one particular deal might be good value, you'd have to put a gun to my head to eat a tesco sandwich so i wouldnt know if that was good value but other things arent for example i saw doritoes massively overpriced without a card and then brought back in line with a clubcard. I could sell you a £10 note and say its £50 without a clubcard or a £10er with one it doesnt mean youre saving £40. The fact is people are shopping elsewhere, the customer isnt seeing value in the clubcard so are spending money elsewhere hence the share price! If they did away with the clubcard I would use tesco more and I know many others that feel the same, people dont want to sign up to something to not get ripped off on their shopping bill when they can go elsewhere. The shareprice doesnt lie

its not saving you money, it shouldnt be £3.50 in the first place. Its a £3 deal being sold for £3. its like a black friday deal. I get that they lower the price for things with a clubcard but a lot of shoppers think well I will just not go to tesco and get my shopping for a fair price elsewhere without being forced to sign up for a clubcard

i disagree regarding the clubcard. I dont see it as knocking money off the bill but I see not having one as adding money onto the bill so it forces me to shop elsewhere. As a consumer who just wants the best value, i dont want to be forced into signing up to a clubcard and i know a lot of others who feel the same way and dont shop at tesco because of that reson

I sold a while ago but HL. remain on my watchlist. Unfortunately with everything thats going on right now I dont really feel like investing in anything right now. However I think HL. are a fantastic company and I think todays price will show itself to be a bargain in 5-10 years time.

a lot of interesting and exciting things going on here. I am a holder and I do believe the future is bright but reading this in the last trading update is a bit of a dampener "The first half of 2020 has been one of the most challenging periods we have ever faced as a business". Plus despite all the contract wins and excitement regarding the hydrogen we do need to see some signs of profit. However when this is achieved I can see a large re rating in the share price but thats just my opinion and my opinion is wrong more than right

You might of put it on the wrong board but you made me smile! I used to be a joiner and always made sure I put a quote in at the top end so I was never asking for more money. The amount of times I didn’t get the job then got a phone call from the customer when they next wanted work doing saying the price went up to my price or more! Anyway I hope your daughter enjoys the kitchen!

I cant understand either. The update is exactly as expected, we had a slowdown towards the end of last year due to political uncertainties - surely everybody knew that was the case, everything else seemingly going fine

I dont see these results as being that good. NMC are very highly rated and the market was expecting net profit of £290m

the results are actually a bit better than the market expected
