Scancell founder says the company is ready to commercialise novel medicines to counteract cancer. Watch the video here.
This is a baptism of fire for Weiguo to have to deal with, especially given that large institutional investors will be pushing for clarity.
the interesting thing is this started falling rapidly prior to Hutchmed going on the list, U.S. institutional investors dumping and no new ones will come in now.
I am extremely positive about the Company, its direction of travel and its progress, however the geopolitical situation is making the investment case very very difficult.
I don't understand why they can't comply to the Act
no, I don't see a problem other than the fact they were added to the list and have to do it. There is no issue, they have always had full disclosure and in fact their accounts have always exceeded the international requirements. So there is no problem, but unfortunately whilst you and I know it that is not what the market and American Investors think.

Here is the problem - Hutchmed has until 29th March to respond, Beiegne is also on the lits. They require a copy of the audited accounts.

ok apologies for that tacly, I'll see if I can find the English version from CMS
Hutchmed has taken a ver slow, almost plodding pace on the corporate devlopment front. I could never quite understand why we didn't use our existing considerable chinese JV to in-licence drugs from global pharma, like Beigene did with Celgene.
Here is the English version:-

I agree about the index GS and thankyou for posting but we still have the 35%+ drop since the CEO and AR announcement
That suggests to me there is something else going on here, given the huge sell-off in the last few days. Something that the company knows but they aren't telling us, and that is what we can expect in the future in my view. How has the investment case changed and why did GA, Barings etc etc all invest at prices 60-70% higher than today's price? They must be furious.
Down again on NASDAQ, still being dumped and now univestible, Iam completely shocked by what had happened here.
I don't understand how a Company can go from $6bn to $3bn when all the results and losses were expected. Institutions were happy to buy in at $30 / adr and also to take up over-allotments in the HK IPO at $60HKD but some are now dumping at $28HKD. There is no logic to the valuation whatsoever, and in fact, the company's revs are ahead of forecast.
7 years of growth wiped out - something is very wrong here
thankyou robert & GS
Regarding future valuation I think all we can do is consider Analayst foreacsts for revenue and earnings together with the Companies own numbers on launched threrapies (+ analyst annual sales numbers on those therapies). By 2025 we should have 9 in China and 5 Global.
I have no issue with Christian retiring and I would do the same in his position, the issue is how it has been handled and announced by the Company, and their lack if market awareness, together with an almost disregard of investors. I suspect large institutional investors who entered at $30/adr+ will be asking the Company questions right now.
if anyone from \hutchmed IR happens to read this pleas provide an update
I am staying invested but I want answers form the Company, their corporate actions and disregard for investors is shocking to me
$1.5 BILLION mcap wiped out ytd - something is badly wrong here
Announcing it with ONE DAYS NOTICE is simply not good enough and displays their complete lack of awareness oh how sensitive the market can be and how important these things are to get right. The Chairman has screwed up here, not that he and should know better. To my post yesterday, Christian has done a brilliant job and is movinng on for perfectly legitimate reasons but the Company must be more aware as to how the market will react IF a succession plan and adequate notice (eg. 6 months) is not given. Announcing it on the day it became effective is simply not good enough and has resulted in yet more erosion of my investment value. I have never posted negatively about the company before but after the botched CKHH placing and the underhand manner in which the CEO change has been handled I am very disappointed, as is the market.
"Is the management of HCM competent enough to achieve such a valuation for the share price?""
I am not sure but the markets seems to think not, now that Christian has stepped down. The decimation in the Company's valuation is astounding.
