Theres more oil here than was found in the Forties field. Once the EPS is proven, then and only then will we start seeing the SP reflect the predicted levels. Theres still lots of risk involved but the wells are in the sweet spot, there should be minimal water cut at where theyve sunk the drill. The mechanics invokved for the EPS are known technology and provide known risks which are manageable. We need to prove flow occurs AND is constant and that no water breakthrough is observed. Personally I dont think Sxx will exist beyond 2019 The mine has the potential to be a cash cow for 50+ years and the big mining companies will already be aware of it. Looks like the SP is back on its climb northwards as the expectation rises that very soon we may well have an oil producing FPSO parked to the West of Shetland. Its good to see that there has been no news of any unforeseen issues in Drydock (my biggest short-term worry), and all seems to be on schedule and more importantly, on budget. IMO this is the start now when things start becoming interesting, as the sail away date approaches and we start receiving more and more updates of important milestones reached.
