Well I'm fairly new here but see the RNS as positive really. While financially an irritation intention to scale up can only be a good sign and shows confidence in the test.
How do we get our offer shares btw? Sorry if there an obvious answer I'm just not sure. ty
Thanks I just skimmed the paper. You've posted the key findings, I'll not reiterate them. I think it makes the advantages of having antibodies pretty clear in terms of resistance to reinfection and it's severity along with possible/likely timescales. I think most people would like to know if they have a level of immunity or not.
Yes I appreciate what you are saying but still you r original statements were incorrect.
"So if you get a test and it says you have had the virus. This does not mean you are immune to it again, does not mean your immunity is higher and does not mean you might not catch it again tomorrow, so what do you do with this info."
The test is for antibodies. If you have antibodies you have a level of immunity which will be 'higher' than if you didn't have them. The only thing that is unclear is how strong that immunity is and how long it lasts. Also mass antibody testing will be needed to establish this and for calibration so that is part of what you do with the info as well as knowing if individuals have some level of immunity.
Your statement on science changing I don't need to go into as there is no real established science to change.
Alansugar (lol) what is this you are writing? Do you have any knowledge of biology?
"So if you get a test and it says you have had the virus. This does not mean you are immune to it again, does not mean your immunity is higher and does not mean you might not catch it again tomorrow, so what do you do with this info."
If you are tested and found to have antibodies it means you have a level of immunity. What do you think antibodies are and what do you think their function is? To defend against infection and provide immunity to reinfection. If you have just recovered from an infection and have active antibodies in your blood stream it is very unlikely you will be infected with the same virus the following day as you have the antibodies to fight it off. True people do get reinfected with coronaviruses however there is immunity for a certain timeframe or we would all have perpetual colds.
"If the science changes to prove you have high immunity then game changer, but what do you personally do with this info at the moment?"
This statement infers the science is in place already but may change. It is not. When the science is properly established it will not be a case of it changing but a case of discoveries having been made.
Sorry my connection went down and I ended posting the same thing twice thinking it had failed initially.
It has closed at 126 from a previous high of £2. It's had a placing at 120 in between also. I think it's still a good share esp longer term with it's cancer treatments and has attracted hedge fund investment. With the prototype of its test said not to be due until the end of the month I'd rather have money here for now as it inevitably retraces somewhat. Anyway this is a separate board. Nice finish today for ODX :)
It closed at 126 today from a recent high of 200 with a 120 placing in between. Of course if its test takes off it will be great for shareholders and longer term it's cancer treatments are promising and it has attracted hedge fund investment. With it's test prototype not expected until the end of the month and not the greatest enthusiasm shown I'd rather have the money here for the time being as it inevitably retraces a little. My opinion only.
Anyway wrong board lol nice close today for ODX . Monday will be interesting :)
I moved out of AVACTA after yesterdays presentation still in profit but I may be back. It hasn't dropped 90% at all lol
Thanks MB
Hi ,
I've been with ODX what must be a couple of months now or just over. It's starting to get exiting. I confess I don't know much about pharma although I have a bit of a biological background.
I was just wondering as the production aspect once commercialised is a little complex how does it work in terms of royalties? Can each consortium member simply produce and sell as many as they want individually and retain all profits or is there a group royalty aspect? Sorry if it's a bit of a newbie question.
Cheers :)
IMHO the government are aware they screwed up early on when it would have made a difference and airport quarantine is a political choice more than anything. I can't imagine there being a big scientific case for quarantining into the UK with it being a world leading hotspot. I can't see it lasting long and as jefff quotes they would be happy to be let off the hook - they just have a lot of face saving to do atm and need to appear proactive at least.
PI I guess you have a point for those wishing to cash out quickly on profit. I did say medium term - your right though a higher launch would have been better. As would not topping up at 74p instead of now at 63p lol.
Correct me if I'm wrong but as I see it the speeding ticket just means less of the value is factored in before design freeze. I bought some more at 74p which was a little disappointing but in the medium to long term the speeding ticket can't make much difference if any.
The king of France ordered the arrest of a load of knights Templar on Friday 13th October starting the superstition. Also Thatchers birthday. I never take any notice of it though new housing estates never have a no13. Depends if you view the Templars as heroes or religious invaders I guess. All of which is entirely relevant to GGP shares lol.
I wish I had more funds to top up right now. GLA
I don't know much about pharma tbh so am grateful to many of the good posters on here as I, and I'm sure others would find it hard to to achieve a good understanding of what is going on without them . As you say though the amount of rubbish posted by people with some agenda or other is annoying.
This thread has just reminded me to filter cooncan. The guy is a racist as well as talking BS probably with some agenda or other..
Topped up today at cost 72p. That's me done and strapped in for the ride :)
All well and good until you start putting 0.9s and 0.8s into your calculator to get back in. I can't really see the volatility for many 10% changes here before an RNS tbh.
I like the 'my current estimate is that we will commercialise over the summer months.' bit.
It is more or less confirmation that the test will be going to market.
Precisely POSTI. The slightest hint of anything negative and people go into testosterone withdrawals mode. The fundamentals have not changed one bit. We never were going to produce all the tests just collect royalties from them as you say. Overall the day has had a big positive in that have had the CEO on a major news channel talking about our test and its imminent release and more attention will be drawn to the share now.
