here is only 0.45p if you try a buy or sell order, which is a lot better than the 1p quoted on LSE and with other brokers, a tighter spread bodes well for the future in my opinion.

The petition shown at the link above is one you might want to look at, it's about trying to get shorting banned but it needs another 97000 signatures before it can even be considered and it needs them by the end of September so there's probably no chance but it might be worth a few minutes of your time.
I agree with the idea of getting rid of mms if it would be possible, personally I think that a lot of the time we should call them mmms (manipulative market makers).
