Long term investor
The share price has been in a trading range and depending on when you bought it , apart from the dividend there has not any much gain , while the management’s salary has increased significantly.
Shares in issue. 63,569,225,662 Buyback of 4 Billon shares will make not much difference to us small shareholders. This poo of share is only benefiting the management with their fat cat salary.
All the highly skilled jobs and knowledge will be lost and replaced with low pay unskilled jobs. And UK will be flooded with cheap “ Clean energy “ products from overseas. It all about point scoring with politicians.
In my dreams I will settle for 30 Pence party. The politicians are milking the Oil industry, because they can on the environment bandwagon. While countries like USA, Canada make are making the best uses of their resources while they can as it protects jobs and brings in wealth. Onces the jobs are in the Oil Industry are lost in UK, they will be replaced with gutter jobs. UK politicians only think short term in terms of what benefits them and NOT what will benefit the country and its people. They all in there for themselves. All the revenue from taxes are mismanagement by the politicians as they are never held accountable for their actions, so the need to raise revenue from any way will alway be there, hence milking the oil industry. The oil industry is doomed similar to what they did with the coal industry.
Thanks for information on taxation of only 35%.
I have been a holder of Enquest for a long time to my financial misfortune ( note buy shares at your risk) and all the time the data looks excellent and the forecast is buy buy for jam tomorrow.
What is the logic in buying Enquest shares.
All the profits are going to the government until 2028 and if labour wins next election it will increase to 85% or they will just extend the taxation period.
The share price is very unrated and should be more, but with government grabbing most of the cake it’s not going anywhere in the foreseeable future.
Work hard , save money , invest in the stock market so as to have comfortable future.
Well dream on.
Work hard and the government will take all the profits and distribute it to the people who don’t do anything.
I have invested a lot in Enquest like a fool because I believed that one day the profits will come only to find that the government has nationalised the oil companies via the back door.
Please AB tell pokies if you must, let’s get the share price up so the this long suffering share holder can bale out !
There’s no correlation between the oil price and Enq. Share price …AB mismanagement has ensured that. Even when various brokers have pencilled in higher targets all we get is negative news to drive the SP down.
Oil could be get to 150 dollars and Enquest will still be around 25 pence.
Abandon hope All that ……….
New research is suggesting as much as half of the world’s fossil fuel assets could become worthless within the next 15 Years

Don’t make any sense . All oilers have increased production to take take advantage of the higher price , Enquest seems to be on go slow mission!
I have been with enquest for a long time and I should have bailed out long time ago when I was in the green , but my view was AB and his team are doing a good job and in time I will be rewarded very well . But, now I doubt it.
AB gains the most by going for a management buyout with the support of other funds .
We plan , AB laughs!
AB will do everything to keep SP down .
Hitman , your compass points to ?? Let’s have your wet dream!
Lol Hitman , if only that was true, my compass points to 50 pence, but AB points to sub 20 pence ??
Frac , that only depends on production. Price can hit 80 dollars, but if production falls even lower then …..
This year’s production is down the dumps. Come next March, if the buyout has not happened there will be another rights issue. Enquest Mcap is 400 million and turnover 800 million vs Kistos Mcap 250 Million and turnover …..?
Now common sense , why is share price consistently kept down? Who benefits? Watch this space!
Kistos uses words like solid first half results , extremely positive results and share price performance is 70 percent in six months. If enquest did that then we would see the benefits , but it’s right issues followed by …….
If share price falls below 20p then an offer of 30p which equals a 50 percent premium would see it been accepted.
My break even is 44 pence and for the first time I truly believe it would happen. I think the powers to be will do their best to keep it down.
