What are your thoughts on the now massive snowball heading our way labelled as renewables and climate change initiatives?
About 5 years ago.. there seemed to be a hell of a lot LESS urgency for electric cars and renewable energy.
It's no secret that oil has taken a massive hit over the years. Yes all cars will still need lubrication but that doesn't compare how much petrol the automotive industry needs.
Let's not forget PLASTICS are also now being totally replaced with organic based material which takes moments to decompose and saves our oceans - less and less oil being used.
All of the above I support!! BUT - I feel like being invested in any oil exploration business is... well.. bad for business a the moment. Unless there is more use for oil down the line that doesn't come up at odds with humanities survival.
Are these points a touch too naive?
Where's the hope in the oil industry as a whole?
Where can Doriemus extract value from, in a market like this(ideas are better than complaints)?
In the same boat really. sent the man an email ages ago.. tried to follow up as well. ...Nada.
I wonder if he's given up on chasing these people.
SO I bought this when it was on AIM going for around 0.22p a share. Looking at my holdings sitting on about £27200 paper loss if I sold. It hurts big time.
Are we really just waiting for the lights to be switched off? I mean still owning 4% of HH. Brockham is essentially a duster...
Anyone with any sort of idea of how this could be turned around - without making any crazy assumptions?
Cheers
David
"Greenland is not a scam as you say which is libelous IMO. It is perhaps $100/bbl oil but it must have been an interesting play because Arcos spent $100m exploring it decades ago. To me that proves it is not a scam and you are wrong again (as usual)"
The above is a bit rich. I agree with all the other points. But the Greenland move was indeed pointless and a serious waste of money. Doriemus wouldn't have any thing close to the sort of capital needed to explore that "opportunity" not to mention it was just flat out wrong. They also messed up by not doing due-diligence and got us kicked off AIM. Credit where credit it due - they[BOD] made some serious mistakes not worthy of the salaries they are pulling as directors.
Of course onshore investments were great opportunities. But lets not turn these guys into saints.here.
As for thanking DL for not diluting - he is probably well invested himself. Believe you me, were he not - another dilution would be around the corner.
All in all - this is looking good. :)
All the best.
**it doesn't mater that you need 9x of the current price is nothing at all. In fair ness - anyone who has a grand to throw away should really throw in and average way way way down.
I don't understand why so many folks claiming you can't trade this. That's a flat out lie. You can definitely trade these on institutional investor. I mean we're talking like an 80 fee per year.. or just wait till things are more favourable.. signup.. transfer your holding and pay the god dam 100 or or 200 quid for the trade. I mean anyone who is still on here better be on a paper-loss of 5k or more if they sold now - 23K for me, Anything less and you are wasting your time on this board. I see 75% ofDL's salary comes from shares. Everyone here is right about how this has been run. These people are running away with our money frankly. I though we had to vote to de-list and list? We got nailed with all this moving around on markets - and exactly what does DL do for 105K a year cash and another 388k in shares? Can we not challenge this - I hope there is a time limit on those shares for withdrawal? There is a lot of money on ASX for the oil and gas industry - I don't think it is a super silly move. But for what we paid -we should be just moved back to AIM :/ Frankly until we see some awesome results and start extracting those results - this is just a an egg will are all going to have to sit on for a while longer. As for the 900% increase just to break even - This is simple investing 101 folks - Market cap is no where the actual value of licenses..etc. IF HH or Lidsey hit big.. really big.. it doesn't 9x current price is nothing at all. All the best folks
Not according to Google and their website. It clearly says London. Where do you see this? I walk past the offices during lunch every dam day. pains me to think I am paying for the rent. haha Also this chat is probs going to close in a couple of days - if anyone wants to keep this alive. http:// marketdiscuss.com - I set this up on the weekend, looking to ad the rest of AIM and a few american markets too. GLA
That is bound to be illegal... There is no way they can sell on your behalf if you haven't given struct instructions to sell. That would b a massive FCA breach of law. LOL - imaging brokers just selling your assets because they didn't want to incur costs of doing due diligence in a situation like this.. hahaha
http://talk.marketdiscuss.com/ Check it out if you would like.. I created a category for Doriemus.. you'll be able to do a lot more than we can on this board. This is not for profit folks. It's it works for you than join in :)
I will set on up this weekend - I think I still have a link to a free online box with all the investment research for DOR. Including land maps etc.... GL
Honador - no, I really appreciate that information. You make a good point and it's something I am seriously considering. Thanks. I would feel much better if the people managing the company were just as heavily invested. GLA
Correct me if I am wrong here.. but it comes at a cost of 90 a year? They want a "flat fee" which isn't flat at all.. of 22.50 quid per quarter... Surely they can't be the only ones who are able to offer ASX online...
Called Halifax - it's a resounded "no - we don't do ASX". Not looking to sell for obvious reasons but I would really like to how to sell when the time comes... haha Halifax told me I need to find a broker that trades on the ASX - Thanks - really helpful :/ So my trading broker... is essentially sending my a paper certificate, I would need to trade this by depositing this into an account in person I assume.... If anyone knows anything.. please let us know.. funking appalling that DOR haven't given holders any alternatives... heh. If I travelled to Oz for a vacation.. I wonder if I would be able to sell once I was in profit.... would be interesting to know as well.
Hi Folks, Not commented on a board for Donkeys... If 200 quid trading cost is bothering some of you guys that much.. you probably aren't going to be losing very much I assume. Could it be that I missing something? Frankly I'd be fine paying 500 quid for a trade out of the profits if this were listed on a proper market or the profits were good enough. If you're selling at a loss... I totally understand. I would be furious. I'm about 22k in and this is a ton of money for me.. I risked averaging down twice... and got shafted by the current and past CEO. BUT!!! Less cost for being in a market that really wasn't doing us any favors.. I think someone called NEX a "lobsters pot" once and I didn't understand the term... but I see what that means now.. through this experience unfortunately. So less the yearly/monthly charge.. we're making money as a company, cutting costs and the investments we have.. have all proven to be valuable and in some cases we're already looking to extract that value. The only thing that scared me was when DL said in the interview that he was looking to invest in more opportunities aggressively.. when the top dog(and I mean dog) of the company that is investing with my money uses the words "invest aggressively".. I get the shivers. In fairness, aside from the absolutely ABYSMAL negligence of Angus not applying for planning permission.. things have been looking pretty good...Can anyone disagree? Lets put the high trading costs aside and think like investors here... Can anyone really disagree at the "fact"(in my opinion) that right now DOR is worth multiples more the it's current MarketCap? Dave
yes thanks. Good post... Read it this morning off the VOG board. Very good read.
Why the hell is it.. that around mid market day... AME is EXACTLY 10.34% down this is the third day... almost exact figure... yesterday 10.36% day before same thing if i'm not mistaken. only to finish at level at day end?!?!?! how is that possible? MM'S inner workings are becoming to brave(foolish) and too obvious... yes that spread is really not making me feel good.
exactly... been watching that spread like a hawk... Really need to get in here. real potential tis side. GAAAAH - Why is it never easy!!!
This is started to look VERY attractive!
you're not long term? I hate having to predict when this news will come out. Lately I've been having issues with Companies pushing out news in a regular fashion... VOG but to name just another poor example.. AME's been good though. Can't complain. Think I might be thinking mid to long position here.. Not very patient... but hey such is life
reinforcements... also you're saying buy... how far do you think this will go? sp wise that is?
