Good news10 May 2021 10:52
I started trading GDR last year about this time between 140p and 180p, did this a few times selling around 165-170mark. Then I got a strong feeling this would go way over £2 ASAP, I was wrong! So instead of trading in and out I now had a large investment, if I remember right I bought that lot at around 180p expecting good news the following week. SP started to fall and I topped up, then topped up to have a large holding. There was a chance in Sept/Octo to get out with medium size profit, but TBH greed again took hold and despite the fact I knew the results would hammer the SP I held. That was the second mistake, by this point I am all in. I borrowed money from 3 of my companies, £40k, lead to £80k, to £120k to £130k, then came the vaccine news. I was out playing golf, check my phone all seemed ok, 2 holes later, devastation!! Watcher the SP drop to 55p over the next few days, got more loans and bought £40k at 55p then it dropped bought another £40k at 51p, it dropped further. Down at sub 40p I was in Dubai and put it past my sister, should I buy last lot of £40k. Reply was be stupid, have you not lost enough. Watched SP rise snd finally bought that £40k worth at 75p, thankfully it was good news for a change. This was part of my daughters inheritance and my life savings. I had until end of the tax year to pay all the loans back. I am Sure on 19 Jan I was down just less than £600,000. Few weeks later, starting selling at around 130p right up to around 150p, paid off my loans and credit card. The share was looking good and the strain was off.. Went on a trip to Maldives, life was good again, RNS landed as I got off the plane, took another loan of £50k and bought more at around 154p. Sp started to drop back into the 140s from the high of over 160p that day. RNS dried up and SP stalled. Got to the hotel isolation in the UK and mulled over the last results and the fact there had been no revenue generated, I think all LTH must have at least thought of this and sold down. I started selling my full holding around a million £ the two weeks before the results. Glad I did as we know what happened, I was glad for me but felt it for others. As a share I became addicted to GDR, took a huge part out of my day. But through it all I wish I had traded it like other LTH had been doing. However just did my tax return and from that year of lots of downs and few ups, holding was the best thing long term as I had made a profit of £275,000 on GDR, which from that lowest point is a huge turn around. In my opinion at this low Mcap, just hold your nerve, wait for the next rise as there will be one and don’t be greedy, take profit when you are happy with that amount. Good luck all LTH and the new holder maistro. From dog to saviour, I hope to read some similar stories soon from you lot!
