No Guarantees that national Lockdown will end on the 2nd December….it may well be extended which i'm sure it will.

I suspect we will see more cycles of high transmission rates of C-19, National, Local lockdowns, as well as many more variants of C-19 before we have a vaccine.
This is now the 2nd Lockdown which was unavoidable yet delayed. This will have more impact on the NHS, local, national economy, and the markets. More businesses will fold as the UK goes into the New Year which does not bode well and should this cycle continue then the defaults across the board will be off the scale..

I like most had respect for way the Govt handle the initial outbreak albeit the UK had been late into lock-down; however, the financial support had for the most part been good and swift.
The Lockdown was not policed, it was not strict enough. Wuhan had been very strict and it took 12months for them to get back to normality. The UK scientist are already talking more deaths up to March, April and the probability of more restrictions along the way....

It would have made more sense to do a month lockdown in Sept and then gradually re-open whilst the furlough scheme was in place, it's not like they did not have all the evidence back then......

"Covid is spreading "significantly" faster through England than even the government's predicted "worst-case" scenario, documents reveal.

The Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage) says there are around four times as many people catching Covid than anticipated.

A "reasonable worst-case scenario" is used by officials and the NHS to plan for the months ahead.

It had estimated 85,000 deaths from Covid over the course of winter.

But an official Sage document, dated 14 October and published today, reveals we are in a worse position than expected.

Scientists crunching the numbers estimated that, by mid-October, there were between 43,000 and 74,000 people being infected with coronavirus every day in England."
