Bailey would be a fool not to keep his foot on the gas, needs to deter people form buying too much but at the same time encourage them not to stuff it in the mattress . you only have to look around people are spending and I don't see that changing this year. when they do stop spending the BoE will have the mother of all worries on their hands..

What is depressing about the Hotels is that staff are being laid off...!

I don't mean to be harsh bust surely something in return for a roof over your head would make people with Anti-Immigrant views think at least our community is getting something in return for our efforts to assist these people. People who claim to have fled ware torn countries and inhuman atrocities, yet complain about mouse in the hotel or sleeping four in a room..

Our mother raised 4 of us on her own in a two up two down, she made a wooden partition with a door and a separate light for my sister as we got older...

People need to get a grip, man up, and ask what can I do for you in return for our stay...

why don't they put them to work call it "training", for jobs for Rwanda etc, such cleaning, picking veg, bar work, health care in return for the hotel bill. these people don't even take the rubbish out in the hotel....

you are talking a load of broken bubbles...! The agriculture industry, service sector and health care didn't or couldn't pay a good wage, minimum wage for long hours of back breaking work. We Brits took to the streets to fight for H&S, better working conditions and it was drummed in to our young.
