MOUs are written in pencil. Good for a tout, but not much more.
A sale price would be based on profitable recoverable gas. Talk of multi T reserves is just talk until the economics are proven. You can't prove economics without having producing wells. After you have producing wells then you book reserves and then you can argue about P3 numbers and buyout pricing.
Guernica, just to remind you of the obvious fact in the room. FOG hasn't made one producing well in over 20 years. You have to expect the share price to reflect that fact. FOG is more similar to a royalty holder than a producer, with the notable exception we have very expensive place-sitting help.
gonoles, Empire....now there's a company that knows how to make a political donation that works.
based on the compensation packages (bonuses were just plain galling), they certainly reward themselves as if they were a real company. I see Daryl Gilbert still hasn't bought any shares, apparently he's about as involved in the Company as a doorstop. Otherwise, business as usual and I hope they are doing some self educating about tight gas exploitation, as there isn't anything in the director's backgrounds that would indicate they are qualified to actually be directors of an E&P company.
Hydro, just to get real for a moment. NO ONE is ever happy with 1mmcfd INITIAL FLOW RATE on any well. If you get an initial flow rate of 1mmcfd, you might as well cancel the BBQ you were planning for next month, because you may not have enough gas for the grill.
eagler, not to mention Japan never wants to see a nuclear power plant built again.

Hmmmm, new partner in the Beetaloo?
Lockview, First off, I don't know if the AGM is virtual or live attendance. I would think if virtual there will be no one but hand-picked favored analysts questions (damn few of them). If one of the posters here has a VERY LARGE position, perhaps they could pressure some tough questions to be asked. Personally, I don't think there is much to ask. If there are negotiations on farm-outs it would not be able to be disclosed in meaningfully detail. I really think the most meaningful info we can receive will come from Tambo and Santos. FLOW RATES and reduced drilling costs are all that matters at this point--and that info sure isn't coming from Origin.
newto, here's where I get puzzled. No matter how Santos/Tamboran results play out, we are still being carried by Origin, still in the back of the bus being driven down the road with no input on how to go forward. I don't think any one would want to pay us handsomely and then take our place subservient to Origin. So, riddle me this: How do you put lipstick on that?
Just say'n.... the DFIT test is just about as accurate as extrapolating 15mmcfd from a short run segment test.
Seems it was about $6 US at one point.
Chedder, are you this clueless in all your investments? Hope not, for your sake.
No surprise after reading his silly comment. According to LinkedIn Chris White started working on 1999, then the employee has changed 3 companies and 8 jobs. On average, Chris White works for one company for 2 years 3 months. Chris White has been working as a General Manager Beetaloo and Growth Assets for Origin Energy for 153 days.
Sounds about right.
Origin General Manager is going to need some more supplies at the rate he's using them. https://www.revlon.com/?gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=CjwKCAjwtfqKBhBoEiwAZuesiLh4Oi9tGUV7S5N_ygVbeYlDiGUgN2Cxjy3KLsNUw6Kv_7xS7ykWoBoCXnkQAvD_BwE&gclid=CjwKCAjwtfqKBhBoEiwAZuesiLh4Oi9tGUV7S5N_ygVbeYlDiGUgN2Cxjy3KLsNUw6Kv_7xS7ykWoBoCXnkQAvD_BwE
Long knife, shut in sounds better than P&A (plugged and abandoned). Of course, those that follow this clown show know that Origin did everything wrong so this really is no indication on the economics of the resource , just a confirmation that Origin shouldn't be in the E&P business.
Vegas, thanks for link. They sure tried to put lipstick on it, didn't they.
tn,
Yes, it looks like things are getting noticed. It will be interesting to see how much of a discount we are saddled with due to our subservient relationship to Origin. Too bad Tambo can't be bought in the US.
