The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Patience is definitely required. I was expecting to have had an update on the BAMS test by now we had the last RNS in relation to this on the 9.6.20 stating that they had the reached prototype stage and can detect the coronavirus spike protein in model samples in the concentration range appropriate for a clinical diagnostic test. They were then to test this in UK and USA. So news on this should be anytime.
I have a feeling that the news is going to be like buses and we will get three coming at once.

A great start to the week with a new application of the use of Affimers. We were told that they were working on new tests and partnerships and we now have another iron in the fire. I have a feeling this is going to be a very good week with further news expected on:
BAMS
LFD
Partnerships with large pharmaceutical regarding Affimer blocking treatment for Covid
Manufacturing partnerships
So much going on, who knows whats next. This could be your last chance to get in at this price.

Monday 13th is my birthday and I have put a massive RNS on my birthday list, it is infact all I want. Im sure if it comes there will lots of us partying.
Alistair Smith is a quality CEO and I sure he will deliver it, hopefully on Monday. I'm sure he is keen to get an update out.
GLA
Monkshood, thankyou for sharing your BAMS research. Interesting and we should get news on it's very soon.

A repeat of the similar pattern, initial sells first thing, then holds during the day and then recovers and climbs in the last hour, as people cant risk being out when the he news lands. We know it's coming on numerous fronts.
Avacta releasing a midday RNS would help to stop this pattern, but honestly it doesn't matter in the long run, once the news lands we will take off.
GLA patience will be rewarded.
I'm also in GGP and recently got in here at 77p so already showing a nice profit. Very confident in this as a long term hold and will be looking to add more when I get more funds available.
Impressed with the CEO and looks like we will be getting regular drilling updates beyond phase 1 production.

Mystic Ophidian does it again, although I have a hunch that you will be wrong predicting blue tomorrow.
Although Monday will be blue.
Just seen the video with Alistair Smith. Great viewing and again came across very well and confident on delivering.
He again confirmed the LFD works and will only take a couple of weeks to optimise. Manufacturing of the LFDs are being put in place and announcements should come soon. Demand could be 100,000,000 to 200,000,00 tests a month.

Its not 9am yet , still time for RNS to drop today. We know that news is coming on numerous fronts. Whilst Avacta have released RNS at 7am , they are dealing with so many rapidly moving parts and working with partners news could come at any time. As long as the news is positive all will be good. I'm convinced that Avacta will deliver and am holding and have managed to top up with the recent drop. Patience required and hold your nerve.

Thanks for posting the link. Great explanation of the workings of LFD.
Disapointing drop today, but provided an opportunity to traded some others shares and managed to grab a few more Avacta.
We know news is coming not long to wait, going to be an exciting couple of months.

After the degeneration of the board the last couple of days I have likewise filtered a number of posters yesterday. What difference this morning and yesterday evening to not have all the pathetic, childish comments to wade through. A more pleasent and informative experience.
I strongly recommend:
Investing in Avacta and filtering those who snarl up the chat, so that it doesn't distract from those who provide quality informative posts.
GLA
Ophidian,
Thank you for the response. I was starting to regret asking the question, I seemed to really open a can of worms with that one, but I'm glad I did. Let's hope for an early RNS and positive news. Thanks again.
For those that have the technical knowledge I was wondering your views. We are all awaiting the technical information on the LFD with regards to its sensitivity of the finally developed device, however we are likely to get an RNS update very soon on the BAMS test outcome and how sensitive that test is.
How much significance is there between the two tests, does a very high performing BAMS test increase the possibility of the LFD final test hitting those very high percentages (98%).
Obviously they both are reliant on the Affimer technology, but used in a total different way. Suggestions have been all along that that both tests are likely to be market leaders in quality but useful in different scenarios.
Thanks

Avacta and Cytiva are companies that work on bringing treatments and a clinical tests to market over months and years, covid 19 has moved the goal posts and everything requires fast tracking. They now have a difficult balance between speed over quality.
I think they are managing it perfectly, aiming to be the best in the quickest possible timeframe. Get it right before going to market and we will reap the rewards.
They are repeatidly hitting the timeframes and targets they have stated. In fact this RNS and the video from Alistair yesterday is a week early.
Yes they are further developing the LFD and so they should.
They are confident in delivering the quality LFD to market. Failure would be so detrimental to their credibility and the Affimer technology. We all are clammering information almost daily, I see both the video yesterday and the RNS as perfectly laid foundations, that further confirms they are delivering.

This is the news we have been waiting for weeks. IT WORKS and we will try to improve it further. Alistairs video yesterday provided the detail , further details will be coming. Patience is needed, but this is big news .
GLA
In for a good day with early RNS landing detailing progress, before the end of the month. I think it's safe to say we will clear £1.40, the yanks are on their way .
Alistairs video yesterday sets this up nicely and provided the detail and understanding, as pointed out by Ophidian in his post yesterday. He must have repaired the delorean.
With the lifting of government restrictions in the uk, this is needed more then ever and will be key in containing spread.

I similarly bought into Bushveld for the long haul and have been very impressed with the management of the company. The results today are very impressive considering the covid 19 disruption to businesses and the economies. What has surprised me today is how little the share price has moved on this news , but I will continue to hold and I will be looking to increase my holding as opportunities arise.
GLA
Ophidian,
Thanks for the timeline and sharing your knowledge on the process of getting to market. To impress us more could you please provide us with the share price at each point, it would remove alot of the stress.
