I think you'll miss the boat with your strategy, but that's just my opinion.

Gmax - I've no idea how many £'s you plan to invest, but if it's a significant amount I highly doubt you'll be able to by the all as a job lot, owners of the shares aren't selling.

I'd advise you start buying now in smaller lumps sums until you've managed to acquire your investment total, and that's if you manage to get the volume you're after. Owners of these aren't selling !
