The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Some Excellent point there Esta, especially the fact that the SP would drop/dip to the Equity raise price and give us a chance if we do choose to participate and at the same time give Eqtec increased control on the ammount that would be raised.
I suppose we got a bit caught up in the idea of us PI's raising the funds as we wouldn't want a repeat of the Henderson drag on SP in future.
Hydrogen will power industry, and ammonia will power ships with electric trains and cars and hydrogen trucks etc but where there's muck there's brass and Eqtec is so perfectly positioned and the technology is ready at Capex scale local councils and business can afford. I'm very excited.
Absolutely large scale green hydrogen projects within only a few years will be used to power heavy industry it will be huge on a global scale but there's still the problem of all that rubbish and other waste to dispose of and Eqtec has that solution and will make a mint.
Me too : )
'm eagerly building a fresh buy stash aswell for after the 6th, today is the 1st day since Jan that my EU greenies are having a solid day, US market obviously not long open but my greens there doing reasonably well too. Certainly a generally good day for foreign growth stocks so far, although my newer spacs are still having a sleep today so far these are good signs.
Eqtecs doing the best of the lot : )
I reckon everyone has as even if you follow every RNS and relevant news as most here probably do (and should) it's so handy to have the information all in one place and accompanied with Aandis analysis/opinion.
Great stuff.
Hiya Esta , cheers again because despite the inflation stuff bla dee bla I was on about that are effecting sectors such as ours I've come around to agree with your "simpler" view as you put it in that Eqtecs SP lowering since Jan can be correlated with the JP forced selling. The figures you assessed do pretty much fully explain the SP drop regardless of inflation connected issues I raised.
I'm very pleased to agree with you and I'm even keener now for Henderson sell to end than I was already.
Happy days : )
Lill addition, I wouldn't need a gun to my head to make that decision for me it'd be Eqtec easily. But I'd need a gun to my head so to speak for someone to convince me to put all my eggs in one basket no matter how great looking it is, Eqtec sure does look great though.
Best of luck.
I'm in all three too, I agree with you on the Powerhouse sum up and with Velocys I believe it'll be so unpredictable and real solid take off - pun intended, won't be there till 2025.
But because it's so early in the build up to then there is of course a great chance for growth but way more risk than Eqtec.
With those 3 stocks 've allocated my funds with Eqtec the most, PHE about 40% of that and Velocys 10% of Eqtec stake.
If I was to have a gun to my head and pick one it'd be Eqtec.
Howay the lads he he.
My name on here I nicked off of a funny seen in family guy star wars special where Stewie the baby is Darf Vader, he's standing in a lift with a couple of stormtroopers and talking to Lois who is process lea in the episode, and he fancies her.
When Darf and Lea finish chatting and she leaves the lift Stwie/Darf says to himself in an evil smug way - - - "Release the Darf Farts" and the storm troopers start choking. : )))
Cracked me up Reg
Great stuff, I'll no doubt Mull over what you're written there and learn something...
BTW I'm well aware that being in the right stock can have the capacity to break the market trends and power upwards, and that's why I'm here in Eqtec :)
Thanks again
Hi Esta, although I may think I understand a little about what's going on in the US markets and direction and believing this is effecting Eqtec I definately don't understand share buying and trading effects on SP to anywhere near the degree yourself and some others seem to so for all I know your 100% right and I'm 100% wrong I suspect we both have valid points and the truth is a blend of the two, I did say JH selling was significant still but I thought macro effect were having a larger effect.
I'll just add that my version explains what's happening to the whole sector and I see the evidence almost everyday on 90% of my growth stocks (phe, Velocys, Accsys, Mcphy, Nordex, Acoustis, my spacs, and many others) .
I prefer your diagnosis to mine as yours means this SP drag will probably be over earlier than if my explanation is correct.
I've still allot to learn and appreciate your opinion greatly and it appears many recommended my post but many more yours so most people here lean more to your opinion.
Cheers Esta.
Hiya Slowball, very good point that and I agree with that fund manager as one part I didn't mention as thought my msg long already is that when the economy has been Kickstarted and inflation is by now rocketing up in the US the Fed will actively engage in bond yield curve control by buying there own bonds with trillions of more printed dollars. It's THE ONLY thing they can do to control interest rates and inflation BUT and here's why the fund manager is correct in my view - this massive extra printing is literally further inflation of the dollar so the dollars value is going to crash negating the value of any US held bonds.
The Fed absolutely will not admit any of this and actually they can't or it'll sctew up the plan, but most people and even most hedgefund managers are still believing the Feds line so they ARE shifting since January out of equities and into bonds and cyclicals and away from growth stocks and tech stocks as they're adversely effected by the rise of the bond yields currently.
We may infact see the dollar waters down so much that it looses its position as the world's reserve currency.
