In my opinion - manipulation. One gets some decent independent views which are good; some buyers appear and invest and a few strategic sales are placed the net effect of which is to suppress any price rise.

All indicators are up but every now and again a sale appears which keeps the share price within a narrow band. The board are paying three brokers a lot of money to do what - look pretty. Sisay is just a manager who occasionally appears on a site like proactive and sings platitudes. He is I understand earmarked to be Sierra Leone's next PM. The trouble is it is unknown what Pala really want. All just my opinion and i have a quite reasonable holding - all very sad. I hope that the board looks after its workers better than it does private shareholders.

Someone I know who was at Indaba (South Africa) earlier in the year spoke with a Pala director who expressed the opinion that Pala were frustrated about the share price of SRX and the market generally. There has some decent news but I cannot see (save for the recent placing which seemed to be "for the boys") what three brokers, for whom the company is paying healthy fees, have done to promote the company. It was a relief to see that an independent broker, Beaufort had prepared a note with a buy recommendation. It makes one wonder what is going on.

We have 155,000 buys since and including 2 June when the Gangama commissioning was announced with n early mark up of .125 and only .112 with miniscule sales. We have a sale today of 10,461 shares (against the 155,000 buys) and immediately the price drops .125 despite the Beaufort first note with a buy recommendation with a target of 40 pence. If I did not know better one could think that the sale was strategically placed to push the price down for some nefarious reason; someone or some company not wanting the price to advance. And that is despite the fact that the bollinger bands have been narrowing which is an indication that there will be a break out up or down. There is no bad news on the horizon as far as I can see so that can only be a break out to the upside but if one is being cynical who or what may want to prevent a break out? A company that might want to take the private investors out? But then the cynic in me may be wrong, However thank goodness for the likes of Winnifrith if the cynic in me is proved right. Therefore taking the cynicism away I see a sharp correction to the upside near term.

Cheap shares for Pala but at least one of the brokers got Legal and General in. It was not an open offer so the iis were made privy to information some of which may not have been in the public domain; we have no way of telling which is bound to lead to suspicion. Anyway it is what it is.

Ricky - agreed it makes a sorry read for those locals who depend on the iron ore mines for their living. It is the potential threat of unrest in the area of Marampa that is a concern. SRL are gratefully not involved in iron ore. SRL has a very large deposit of high grade rutile and the company recently signalled an increase in demand for the product not already contracted. I have been adding off and on. Gangama is about to be commissioned; why that is taking so long now that the plant is built beggars belief but once in production costs should reduce further and margins improve. I cannot see why the company needs three brokers; a waste of money especially since they appear to do precious little, besides the recent placing, to promote the company. The TA position has begun to look interesting with the bollinger bands narrowing sharply.

Thanks for that; I read it on advfn. I had thought weeks ago that things might be up and running before the Euro championships but it is not to be. However as many have said including me, these lotteries are now second fiddle to the other deals although an involvement should not be sneezed at.

Although I believe that Chinese lotteries play second fiddle now to the other deals that DJI has entered into, I am a tad surprised that if the Chinese authorities now intend to lift the suspension in whole or in part to authorised bona fide companies, they have not done so leading up to the European football championship with the opening event and first game planned for 6 June. It is well known that the Chinese are football mad and we know that the President visited Man City when the President visited the UK. Maybe it is not too late with 12 days to go!!

Under one of the agreement which was the subject of an RNS revenues/income was to start shortly after that announcement. With regard to the application to list under Nasdaq I suggest that you do some research as the requirements of Nasdaq and the timetable. Last years results for the period ending 31.12.14 were released on 16.06.15. I do not know whether the audit for the year ending 31.12.15 has been completed enabling the results for the year ending 31.12.16 to be released but I suspect that no application will be made until that audit has been completed and signed off by the company for it surely must form part of the application. A further point has been made by the company that they will shortly be appointing an FCO; I am not sure that whether that is a pre requisite for an application to Nasdaq but I guess that that appointment will be made soon. I very much doubt that we will be told when the application has actually been lodged for two reasons; first I do think that they are obliged to RNS that fact but second would you as CEO want the company bombarded by pis all asking when the result will be known? The answer must be a resounding no. The fact is that the application will be made and there needs to be some patience. The unknown answer to a possible question is whether there will be another deal in the short term.

Just advise him to compare the capitalisation of 500.com.on listed on Nasdaq (I believe epic wbai but all one has to do is google 500,com bloomberg) to find that 500.com is valued at the equivalent in sterling at over £450 million and check the value of DJI listed on LSE which is valued at about £210 million. Then suggest that he does some research both into DJI RNS's and Michael Walters site and he will find that it is the intention of DJI to list on Nasdaq. Then he can check out 500,com and its earnings and he will find that 500.com is dependent on the Chinese lotteries but that the lotteries are currently suspended so no income. You could then advise him to check out the revenue earning deals that DJI have put together in China with Chinese concerns which are not dependent on lotteries. Then I believe one gets to QED. A bit patronising on my part but the information is out there in the public domain if one is prepared to DYOR.

With 500.com valued at $649 million on Nasdaq or £450 million I wonder how the Americans will value DJI when it lists on Nasdaq. As far as I am aware 500.com does not have the deals that DJI have effected and is reliant on the lifting of the lotteries' suspension. DJI is now earning or about to start earning (read the RNSs) and is not dependent on the lifting of the suspension. On a like for like basis as 500.com, DJI would theoretically command a share price of £2.75 per share. I do not know why there is spat between posters nor do I want to know (it is most unwelcome on what has been a decent thread hitherto) but with the abundant possibilities for the company, I am content to be invested in DJI but DYOR.

Please get real. For every buy there is a sell. Therefore if there are willing sellers then the shrewd buyer will wait to pick those shares becoming available thus not forcing the price up. There is plenty to come from the company e.g. the Nasdaq application and then listing, a lifting of the suspension and there may be another deal or two to come.

You have hit the nail bang on the head - the Nasdaq listing - the board believe early in Q3 - July. Also 500.com is an interesting comparison - it does not have the deals that DJI have secured and is dependent at present as I see it on the lotteries; yet it is still capitalised at a large figure.
