Apologies for opening a can of worms
Thanks for the confirmation CF, I know I came across like a dog with a bone but it gets my gander when comments are made (whether deliberate or not) that, how shall I say it, paint the project in a less favourable light.
Look fella, don’t mean to harp on about this but I think you know what you were trying to do. With that original post it’s making out that we have to match CMEC, we don’t. We will have to find 40% of funding but they will have to find 60% as well as paying historical costs and a developers premium, regardless of what that amount is, we will use that towards our 40% that needs funding.
Come on now
Exhibit A ‘How much are the Chinese expected to pay for their 60% equity stake? NCCL will have to match this of course.‘
Because First, you used the word ‘pay’ when referring to what CMEC will have to stump up for their share (60%) of the finance/debt, and then said NCCL will have to match it. 1). That’s factually incorrect as we would contribute 40% and b). In a later post you stipulated that we don’t own the project which is again untrue as that is why CMEC are paying historical costs to NCCL and a developers premium in return for 60%. So as you can see, quite easy to misunderstand as your wording is disingenuous and hence why myself and Lancaster have queried it.

Which is what I believe I said. How you worded it in your original post, that Lancaster queried, was as if NCCL will have to match CMEC’s part of the premium. This was misleading as the historical costs and developers premium are seperate to the 60% worth of funding that CMEC will have to provide. Our 40% will be funded partially by our historical costs and developers premium that we receive from CMEC and the rest will be raised via debt/finance in conjunction with CMEC.
Firsttothemoon
I agree that any developers premium or historical costs that are paid to NEL/NCCL (one in the same by the way) would end up going towards funding our part of the overall costs but I fail to see why on earth we would have to pay a premium for for our own project. Please elaborate and I apologise in advance if I am misinformed
Isn’t every share a trading share? Isn’t that how they go up and down like?
You not joined the circus yet?
Might be time to pack a trunk Nelly
Agree Badeli, I think in these situations you have to stick to your belief in the company unless something has fundamentally changed. Only thing that has changed is that we have achieved a major derisking milestone so I will be holding tighter than ever until something changes for the worse or we achieve what we are all waiting for, a fair valuation.
My honest advice would be that today’s sp is a bargain, that doesn’t mean it won’t fall lower but if the company hit all the target timelines they’ve outlined then we will be much higher than 16-17p in my view. Like any stock FTSE or Aim, anything can go wrong at any moment and derail any company, that is the risk we are all taking but the potential reward is why we are all here. I’m in for the long haul or until the story changes and it’s not to my liking.
If you go back a few years bud you’ll discover I’ve been here longer than you, only difference is I don’t post boring negative drivel everyday like some. I do my research and I buy in, i then hold until I make my target or the until the story takes a turn for the worse and I sell up (at a loss if need be) and move on, I don’t spend day after day bleating about how low the so is and why aren’t the board doing anything about it but hey each to their own
Sounds like the board can’t win either way, no news and it’s why aren’t they letting us know what’s going, they release an update and it’s too early, how’s about people just believe in the research they did originally that made them buy in the first place or sell at a loss if that opinion has changed. Don’t understand the people that hold because they are down and then moan about it, I have sold some shares at a huge loss before because the story changed and better to take a loss than nothing, equally if you still believe in the story and think it will come good long term then put them in a bottom drawer and stop whinging
I reluctantly agree oldb, people just aren’t having it right now, they are waiting for something even more solid news wise, if you are in for long haul then I think youlll be rewarded handsomely
Totally agree oldb, this project will happen regardless. Mozambique needs power urgently and that won’t change until someone provides it
Or are you invested at all?
