Company (current shareholders) own the EBT shares now.

Company and current shareholders won't own the EBT shares later when the options mature.

Simple to see the dilution. The shares will belong to the 46 and will no longer be owned by the company or the EBT.

The Employee Benefit Trust is considered to be a special purpose entity in which the substance of the relationship is that of control by the group in order that the group may benefit from its control. The assets held by the trust are consolidated into the group.

Basic earnings per share is calculated by dividing profit after tax attributable to members of the holding company by the weighted average number of shares in issue during the year. Own shares held by the Employee Benefit Trust are eliminated from the weighted average number of shares.

Are EBT shares disregarded when they look at total shares for calculating EPS etc.

So the share option awards will turn into free shares that fall from the sky without affecting the total shares in the company?????????????????????

Crazy to give share option reward for just surviving in your job.

It is delusional to think that these awards mean that there is no dilution and that this is good.

The only performance condition is to dodge a Form P45.

The BooHoo crybabies have released a RNS about granting £6m worth of discretionary share awards to 46 staff members. The only condition is that they remain employed for 3 years. Sounds great, even at today's price that is an average of £130,000 each if they do not leave a sinking ship. Wow!

Fat fingers, hence the cancellation.

Let’s be real here. I think the explanation for the share options is perfectly rational. Folks took options and save cash outlay. This shows belief in the future.

We know what we are waiting for. It has taken us years but success is becoming more likely. Roll on Q3.
