Just read the Reuters article. It looks like it will be difficult to get out of the deal with Adani. However, much as it would be preferable that Phulbari be mined and used in Bangladesh, as a way of offsetting costs, why not mine it and sell it abroad!

It is still a very valuable asset which ever way you cut the cake.

Energian have stated via RNS that this project is their next big thing and have sold assets to concentrate on the development.

Zahrab4b, you mentioned the negativity of the LTH. Anyone still here is not negative, but a realist. I have been around CHAR for years, I think I learnt the Okey Kokie here, in - out - in - out..... You know the rest. Along the lines of, 'All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth'!! Well. I think I speak for most LTH, and all we want for CHAR is some success! We have been here numerous times before, this feels like it might actually be the ONE.

This is still in the early development stage. It's not a new supermarket they are looking for permission for. There is massive environmental headwinds. But, with a bit of stealth, and massaging of palms it could all still come good. Plenty of deep breaths and plenty more.

Apologies, I didn't notice the date, it came up on my newsfeed yesterday. I can only assume that with the change of government it will be back on the agenda. Steve Rotherham the Metro Mayor is very keen to get projects such as this off the drawing board. He has started to really change the transport system and he is very keen on the barrage project.
