"SIG plc has announced its intention to raise cash by way of an open offer.

The Open Offer will be available to all Shareholders as at close of business on 19 June 2020. If you hold Shares at this time you will be entitled to purchase 1 new Share for every 4 Shares held, at a price of 30p per Share.

Entitlements to participate will be issued from Tuesday 23 June. You need take no action at present. We will write to Qualifying Shareholders confirming full terms of the Open Offer shortly after 23 June 2020, at which point an online election facility will be enabled for qualifying shareholders to give an instruction. Our deadline for the Open Offer is expected to be noon on Monday 6 July 2020."

Got ya...as purchasing at the market price post Monday reduction would theoretically be cheaper.

...but not buying shares issued would obviously be a no-no. As the current value of your held shares would technically be diluted by those taking up such rights?

My SIG shares are in my ISA and I'm fully subscribed, wouldn't that mean I cant purchase within the ISA as it's an additional funding!?

I'd have to hold them outside in a standard account...?

You get to buy shares cheap at a 1:4 ratio to your holdings on the specified date.

I'm ignoring most of the day to day news now, rightly or wrongly. I've seen enough people not bothered about the virus now. Sounds harsh, but not enough people have died to scare people off and those that have sadly died have simply lowered the number those at risk.

People say one thing and do another and most of the people I know are just waiting for things to open again. Bowling Alleys are taking bookings, cinemas opening, 2 pubs near me are creating massive beer gardens by erecting fences around the car parks tripling the capacity.

I'm throwing money into this. Ordering my new Unlimited Card and burning through some money to try and singlehandedly save the economy over the next 6 months ... I'll maintain the recommended social distancing requirements ... I'm not selfish. I've a mask.

As I have said before, you need to see that the 2m rule isn't restrictive people on furlough will go the cinema at what would be off-peak hours - get the kids out the house.

I do not see the 2m rule as being an issue with numbers through the door...in fact it may increase to relieve boredom looking at 4 walls.
